09 Apr 21 UTC Well played France! Thanks for the game everyone
09 Apr 21 UTC Congratz Austria in giving France the solo. Congratz France in taking it :P
09 Apr 21 UTC I wondered how long it would take for someone to start mining salt lol
09 Apr 21 UTC GG
09 Apr 21 UTC It's not about salt. But you literally gave it to France.
I was the only one in the Med with enough fleet to hold France off and you did everything in your power to get them destroyed.
And at the same time you also destroyed Russias capacity to stop France in the north.
So France had free play to get the solo.

Congratz to France of course for taking it.
09 Apr 21 UTC I've created another if interested. Non anon 15
09 Apr 21 UTC I’ve joined. Thanks everyone. I enjoyed the game and my first solo in a long time :-)
09 Apr 21 UTC I’m coming back with a vengeance!
09 Apr 21 UTC :-)
09 Apr 21 UTC While Turkey was just playing to survive, which is all you can ever expect anyone to do, it hampered my ability to fight back against France (and later Austria) significantly.

I wish Turkey had just accepted death when it came for him, and allowed me to thwart France in the Atlantic.

But again, surviving is the most important thing, so I don't hold it against you.
09 Apr 21 UTC Where there is life there is hope my friend.i never surrender!
09 Apr 21 UTC Yeah Turkey really was annoying :) But can't blame them for trying to survive. Austria helping him survive and trying to cripple me while the French fleet was entering the mediteranean on the other hand was just plain stupid.
09 Apr 21 UTC Italy, I kinda agree, though Austria did ha e a potential solo route, so his moves made sense in that regard. France beat him too it, though, and that's largely due to Turkey.
09 Apr 21 UTC Nah I don't see a route where he would have been able to solo. He would never have beaten France to it by destroying all opposition France had.
09 Apr 21 UTC But it seems Austria isn't even willing to enlighten us on their thinking.
10 Apr 21 UTC I was also obviously going for the solo, it just took too long and I kept getting stuck in my home centres and unable to build fleets. Getting stuck in Venice was obviously a bad move, but it didn't change the game, France was in a position to solo regardless
10 Apr 21 UTC There just wasn't a way you could solo as you had no means of getting past the stalemate line, while France was already past it.
10 Apr 21 UTC At most you could have taken a few more centers and gotten more points, but then you had to at least help contain France and not cripple me and Russia in defending against France.
