Game drawn
04 Apr 21 UTC Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
12 Apr 21 UTC Good game everyone.

Austria, I thought you might let me have St. Petersburg at the end of 1905. If you had, I would have likely continued working against England at least a bit longer to see if we could finish off a 3-way central alliance draw. Once you went for St. Petersburg, I abandoned that idea and went running for the stalemate line.

England, thanks for recognizing that I had given up attacking you and getting to the Baltic Sea in time to provide the necessary support.

Italy, thanks for your early move to Marseilles, which helped me get off to a good start against France.
12 Apr 21 UTC Well-played game all around as far as I can tell. I enjoyed this match.

I too would have been willing to let the game play out longer, but Austria was so successful so quickly in the east, and also quick to try for a solo, so I started forming a defensive position earlier than I normally would like.

In case anybody is wondering, I sent a fleet to go harass England so that England would not entertain any possibility of trying to cut Germany from the draw. I've played many matches were a player who is moderately powerful gets an unrealistic idea of whittling the draw down, so I did that just to be safe. England of course was a very strong player and that probably didn't make a difference in the end, but I'm just explaining my thinking on that. England very reasonably let the match wind down safely.

Regarding my anti-French hostility: that's kind of my M.O. as Italy, that I think France and Turkey are very strong and need to be harassed early on for a situation to develop where Italy might solo.
12 Apr 21 UTC GG all! I hate playing Russia.
12 Apr 21 UTC GG everyone. I'm by no means a seasoned Gunboat player, but in my humble opinion, I thought the A STP build in Winter 1901 spelled doom for R & T. But I was also pretty good at sealing my own doom with questionable decision making in Fall 1904.
12 Apr 21 UTC well played !
a doomed France in spring 01 when becoming the target of Italy, England and Germany. You never get up from it in a gunboat with seasoned players.
13 Apr 21 UTC The build really didn’t matter. Russia simply cannot defend two fronts.
