17 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: This is my first pause - it takes a full vote to unpause the game too? Good to know.

Of course, if this game was annulled it would also be fine by me!
17 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: We can always get a mod to unpause.
17 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'll be back on Monday for sure.
17 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: We're pausing now then? It's Wednesday somewhere in the world!
18 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Thank you everybody - It's Wednesday here. I'll be back Monday.

No naughty plotting without me ;-)
23 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'm home again. Thank you everybody for the pause.
23 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Apologies for canceling the unpause, there has been a death in my family.
23 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'm sorry to hear that. Pause the game for as long as you need.
23 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: my condolences, same as france said: pause as long as you need.
23 Aug 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Sorry to hear that bad news. This game certainly takes a back seat for as long as necessary.
02 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: No pressure, just checking in on this game to get an update on the situation.
03 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Thank you for your patience and for the many supportive messages I have received from you all. I'm ready to play on and have unpaused the game.
03 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Welcome back. Now, who can tell me what what going on in this game? If I recall, you were all about to lay down arms and let Russia take over?
03 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: welcome back Italy!
Russia: i was just about to win ... i remeber having 17 sc's.. wonder where are them :p
08 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: All right! Game on...
09 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1906: If Germany goes into CD then how do you guys feel about a draw?
09 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1906: That works for me.
09 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1906: What is CD and why is germany going into it?
09 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1906: It's civil disorder. I was worried that perhaps you'd given up on us. Never mind, welcome back Germany!
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: I think this is the first time I've ever seen this scenario - 1 center, 0 units. Come on Italy, a true ally would have seen that one coming and made a little space in Vie, Bud, or Tri!
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: But it was you who killed the unit :-)

I've seen this happen F2F before.
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: Once it was clear that Austria was not going to help me I had no choice but to evict him from Ukr. I've read about this scenario, but am pretty sure it's the first time I've seen it.

You're at 13, and you worked hard to get there. Are you really going to give AH a build in exchange for all the work he's done on your behalf? Or, did you simply use him last phase and now are preparing to finally kick him to the curb?

(I know, this is public press).

:)
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: I'm not going to kill Austria unless I have too.
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: Well, he's a vegetable now, unfortunately for him.
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: That's a bit cruel.
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: if I got any luck, i will survive here, not like u my russian friend :P
greetings from the lettuce
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: With any luck you might get a unit, my flip-flopping friend.
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: He doesn't need a unit to survive - just a supply centre.
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: I realize that, but I'm calling him a "vegetable" until he has a unit to control. :)
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: it's really funny, and weird.. never seen this condition.
i'm like in coma
11 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: "Kinda like it in a coma
'Cause no one's ever gonna
Oh, make me come back to this...world again"
12 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1907: :-)
14 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: See, you picked up Bohemia. Congratulations, that must have been quite the trick since Germany missed the phase.
14 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Sorry, but your point is what?
14 Sep 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: This just in ... live from Rome: Italian officials appear momentarily confused when asked about their ill-gotten gains in German-controlled Bohemia. These officials brushed off any suggestions of a series of closed-door meetings where radical new foreign policy was discussed based on the occupancy of Bohemia.

The fact that Italian shock troops roll into a mostly defenseless country while the Kaiser is off doing who-knows-what is merely an interesting side note.

Film at eleven.
15 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: Perhaps now that we are effectively down to 3 active players left, we now draw?
15 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: There are still 4 players left.
15 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: Ok. Go ahead and take Austria out of the equation and we'll be down to 3.
15 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: I'll consider it.
15 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: When will you consider it? It's not like he can fight you off.
15 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: There are 3 players. Austria has 0 units and is totally at the mercy of Italy. Even if Italy is feeling generous, he'll have 1 unit. Not exactly a huge military force.

On that point, Austria - what have you got against voting for the draw? It's the best outcome for you, unless you are confident in Italy's solo chances and he's agreed to let you survive and you believe a draw vote will see him eliminate you.
15 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: It's a moot point at the moment, because I'm not voting for a draw yet.
15 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: It's not moot at all. Austria has to ask and gain permission from you before he votes? That's good to know.
15 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: Of course a draw outcome requires a unanimous vote, not a majority. I'm not debating the mechanics of the vote, just the incentives.
16 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: >It's not moot at all. Austria has to ask and gain permission from you before he votes? That's good to know.

LOL !!! Excellent piece of spin that, you should be in politics.

Austria is free to vote for the draw as and when he chooses.
16 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: My good man, I am the Tsar of Russia. Politics should be into me!
16 Sep 10 UTC Spring, 1908: 1908, so still the Tsar. Only 11 more years of glory though. Watch your back :-)
16 Sep 10 UTC 11 years is a long time.
16 Sep 10 UTC 11 ?? I can't count - 9 before revolution.
16 Sep 10 UTC The misery is finally over. And, he took Smyrna! *lol*
