Serious question: why end a 5-player game in a 4-way draw?

Because the other 3 players thought that it would be a solo, they would ally against Carth and it would take weeks to end up with a 4 way draw.

Agree that it was a bit strange. Maybe carthago advanced too quickly at start... I was happy for the draw since I was kind of caught in the middle.

Yep. Carthage got big too quick. It’s a weird board for me. We basically split into two pairs at the start and Rome was left out. Carth was able to expand against Rome because I was attacking Rome too.
