23 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: Hello everybody, good game.
23 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: Cheers everyone!
23 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: Greetings from Vienna
23 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck everyone!
24 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: good luck everyone so much silence!
24 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: Can we change the settings so that when we all enter orders the game moves on?
24 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: you mean so that no diplomacy can occur? that's called the 5 / 10 min per move games ;-)
24 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: diplomacy is supposed to take place before you enter your orders.

If we all enter orders, it makes sense we are all ready to move on to the next phase.
24 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: There is a difference between entering orders and readying up, I believe that if everyone readies up the turn does process. So I don't see the problem
24 Feb 21 UTC Spring, 1901: Ah, i see that the status is all countries have entered orders so i just assumed that meant ready.
04 Mar 21 UTC Autumn, 1902: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
21 Mar 21 UTC Spring, 1905: This game keeps dragging on with barely anything happening. It is year 5 now and the board almost looks like year 1 (minus Turkey). How is this game ever going to end? Maybe we should start thinking about drawing this game?
21 Mar 21 UTC Spring, 1905: Is Russia getting nervous? Or is this a serious draw proposal?
21 Mar 21 UTC Spring, 1905: I'm very serious. As you can see, I already voted draw. I just don't see this game going anywhere.
21 Mar 21 UTC Spring, 1905: You mean my sailors can retire to play darts + drink beer instead of bashing heads vs Germans?
21 Mar 21 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
23 Mar 21 UTC GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
23 Mar 21 UTC Did Germany run?
23 Mar 21 UTC Hello darkness my old friend
24 Mar 21 UTC GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
27 Mar 21 UTC I would like to ask everyone to again consider drawing this game.
I know it is not conventional to draw a game which still has 6 players in it, but ask yourself this: How do you think this game is going to end? And how long is this going to take?
At this moment I feel that this game is in some kind of deadlock and barely anything is moving. Playing this game until only 3 or 4 players are left might imo take until the year 1920 or even later.

I'm glad to see England and Austria agree with me ont his, I hope Italy, France and Germany can also agree to a draw?
27 Mar 21 UTC i support Russia's statement here, although I see the chances, it will take forever, and the game is indeed gridlocked.
27 Mar 21 UTC I think I voted draw a few years ago haha just so it was there
28 Mar 21 UTC A six way draw is pretty boring though.
28 Mar 21 UTC Very true. But i’ll take it as i was in weakest position
28 Mar 21 UTC There just weren't many options to finish this game in any reasonable time. As long as Italy and Austria stayed allies everything was more or less deadlocked, they could have overtaken me eventually, but that would have taken many more years. And along the way most likely at some point they would have ended up stabbing each other anyway which would have added a lot of more years to any possible conclusion.

The only speedy conclusions to this game that I could see were if Italy or Austria would stab the other soon and strongly and ally up with me. that could have made things go faster.
I talked about this with Italy they had been saying they were considering it for multiple years now but we didn't seem to find the trust to work together, and Austria I contacted at the end of the game with this same analyses and the question to either see if working togehter again would be possible (there was to much distrust from earlier in the game to make this really work) or otherwise just draw the game, which is what they eventually opted for.

A France that had build more than 1 fleet and would have chosen a side instead of trying to ally up with both sides and passively wait, could also have gotten this game out of a deadlock I think. But that wasn't very possible as there wasn't much option for them to actually build a second fleet and become relevant.

And to be honest I found this game very boring, for most of the game my defense line barely changed, same goes for England and France. Only Italy and Austria were able to grow through Italy but that was over now, and germany was falling at the end of the game. But all in all, just nothing was moving. So yes a 6-way draw might be boring, but imo the game was even more boring.

I'm really glad this nightmare is over.
