07 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Good game you all!
07 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Now wait just a gosh darn minute. I know you're excited to tear each other's heads off, but I'm pausing this to see if I'll need to scramble country assignments.
07 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1901: oh :(.
08 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Ok no worries.
10 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Any update goldie?

10 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Some unlucky ducks drew almost all Austrias, so I'm reshuffling
10 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): You're all set
10 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Shuffle shuffle. Will send out press soon
11 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck to all
13 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Has anyone heard from Austria?
13 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: What is this, gang up on turkey day?
14 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I'm not attacking you :)
17 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 1902: Neptune is the eight and farthest-known Solar planet from the sun.
4.15 hours is the time it takes for light(radio) wave to reach Neptune.
That means, if there is a diplomacy player(extraterrestrial life or any kind of artificial intelligence) on Neptune, he(it) should be able to exchange 4 messages with one human diplomacy player on the planet earth. Within 36 hours.

At the moment I receive one messages(or less) per turn.

Since I didn't assigned for a gunboat game, I wonder is it possible to improve our communication.

If you all agree to comunicate more, then I promise :
- not to lie anymore
- I will work on my grammar

Deal?
17 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 1902: I'm up for it. Sorry work has been shitty this week.
17 Dec 20 UTC Autumn, 1902: Hello guys, sorry for having been away from keyboard for a while. I am back
21 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1903: Russia: If you all agree to comunicate more, then I promise :
- not to lie anymore
- I will work on my grammar
Congratulations you have already failed.
21 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1903: Dear Turkey, during retreats and builds, there was no need to communicate.
By the way if you check the fall orders, you will discover, I helped you. And your reaction was, like what? Silence
21 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1903: oh shit my bad, I saw that wrong. It looked like you supported him to but.
21 Dec 20 UTC Spring, 1903: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi all. A player has submitted a pause request for this game. This bumps into the tournament pause that will happen during Christmas. So this game will be paused until January 1st (EST). I will be turning the press mode on this game to gunboat for the duration of this pause, so that no player can keep negotiating while the others are away. I hope you all have a happy and healthy (covid-friendly) holidays.
02 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1903: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi all, happy new year. Unpausing the games now.
18 Jan 21 UTC Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
21 Jan 21 UTC Autumn, 1905: well gg everyone.
21 Jan 21 UTC Autumn, 1905: gg Turkey
24 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Paused through Monday
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): You are all free
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: Will send out messages shorty. Sorry for the short pause.
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: Greetings to the glorious nations and lovely people of "2020 World Cup Group A Full Press 1"!

Germany is here with a special announcement: I've been timely possessed by a vivacious spirit named EMC, who is here to regale you as an eighth player of the game ;D
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: Of course, given the unfortunate positioning of a few units here and there, my reason here is clear and simple: Don't kill me!

Well, "me" in the sense of this bedraggled player that I find myself inhabiting. But still. I'd like to stay here in on the mortal plane for quite a bit longer - so please don't dispose of my host all that quickly, eh?
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: In classic fashion, I've brought to you all a limited edition special; the ghostly EMC haunt of peace.
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: I see a sandwich;
sandwich of love. But alas,
why am I middle?
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: Hrm. Not quite up to my usual standards, but y'all get the point lol
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: My position may be positively precarious at this particular point, certainly. But do keep this very, very carefully in mind - my host may be one type of player, but I am absolutely a different type and willing to engage with different sorts of negotiations and play. I mean, just look at the public press game that just ended lmao
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: So. There's two of us here. Does that make a difference?
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: Absolutely :D
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: (Unrelated but feel free to address all your press from this moment on as "to possessed Germany" or "to original Germany"

We have similar hours, so the response should be reasonably timely)
26 Jan 21 UTC Spring, 1906: To England, to France; to Austria stabbing, perchance
Might I tempt y'all into a wholly differing stance?
Solo threats are high,
Unless we ally -
Or do y'all really wanna see Austria advance? ;p
29 Jan 21 UTC Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
15 Feb 21 UTC Great game, very very enjoyable.

My podcast host (and fellow team mate in this tourney) Kaner and I will be recording an episode in 3 days where I fully intend to discuss my EOG statement.

Very well played Babbo. Excellent gameplay.
15 Feb 21 UTC Thanks to everybody for this game, I enjoyed playing it as well.

A pity we could not reach a 3 way draw: I was really thirsty of some French or Italian blood :,-)
15 Feb 21 UTC Thanks for the game everyone, well played Babbo!

Fair enough wanting the three way draw. I think there was minimal chance of safely cutting out Italy though.. I'd have to be able to cling on to Tunis and one of the Italian centres (not even sure that would be possible with the board as it is) whilst ensuring you didn't break through burgundy as I picked up Mars. Oh and also having to divert units to stop the fleet in Tunis running rogue behind my lines.

And if England and Italy went for me I would have 100% done want I could to help Austria grab the centres they needed
15 Feb 21 UTC gg all, that was fun
15 Feb 21 UTC Good game. Really sorry about the lack of communication towards the end - normally I don’t play much during tax season as I’m so tied up at work - but made an exception for this tourney. I’ll be honest, I’m a bit relieved it’s done though. Good luck the rest of the way
15 Feb 21 UTC gg all.
