15 Jul 10 UTC | Spring, 1: OK! Everyone here is rather new to WebDiplomacy, and I told every single one of you to go read the instructions. If you have not read them yet. Then congratulations, I think me and tommattox will pwn you three pretty easily. The opening year( also known as phase), is the most vital, especially in Ancient Diplomacy. In this unique map, each of us can double our militaries, from 3 to 6. In this phase, it is also VERY important you get into contact with the two nations that surround you. From both sides. You need to make an alliance with atleast one of them, or you will be squashed like a bug. For some opening moves, heres what you should do. VIISBYAX: Open communications with Akrine. Since both of you are in contention for either Dalmatra, or Vindobona. You both should be able to work out who gets what at the very begining. So to do that, move Ravenna to Venetia. Roma to Etruria. Neapolis to Sicilia. GRIFF ( :P ) As Carthage you have a though decision. Either move north to attack Viis, or move across the desert to attack Tom. Sadly, your first opening moves will determine that. But you can still get six supply centers. Thapsus to Punic Sea. Cirta to Mauretania. Carthage to Thapsus. This ensures that you get Numidia, Sardina, and Saguntum by the time the Autumn phase ends. AKRINE ( <3 ): Greece. Is the easiest nation to play. Your moves are simple, easy and will get you 6 supply centers and you will be on your way to either war with Viis, or war with myself. Move Macedonia to Byzantinum, Athens to Macedonia, and Sparta to Aegean Sea. See where you can move afterwards to get the 6? TOM: :D WE GET TO PLAY NOOBS :P I expect you will learn a lot, and since you know the basics, I dont really need to cover anything for ya. |
15 Jul 10 UTC | Spring, 1: EVERYONE: Do not forgot to message other players. Combine your forces and take down someone. Click on the tags of the nations you wish to contact, and send them a message that only they can see. |
15 Jul 10 UTC | Spring, 1: Island, you're a jerkface :) |
15 Jul 10 UTC | Spring, 1: Oh boy. Well, with an army of noobs we can overtake you :P. |
15 Jul 10 UTC | Spring, 1: Erm, where are these instructions? :P |
15 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 1: I just noticed that I completely forgot to use my Equinox name on here. Oh well :P. |
16 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 1: lmao. I think we know who you are, Viis :P |
16 Jul 10 UTC | Spring, 2: You guys should easily beat me here :P I managed to accidently build all armies <_< |
18 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 2: I really have no idea what just happened. :P |
18 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 2: Well, Griff tried to convoy his army in Mauretania to Beleares. Tommattox tried to convoy Alexandra to Crete, and Cyrene to Neapolis. You cannot convoy, unless you have the fleets there to help move them, to the place you wish to happen. Make sense? |
18 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 2: Do(es) the fleet(s) have to stay there then? I was wondering how Tom would be able to move across the entire ocean with one ship :P. |
19 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 2: Yes, the fleets have to remain still. Usually, when a fleet is in a territory that has a border with land, then the option of convoy appears for the fleet. Your order where it should convoy, what land army. You would also have to do the same for the army that your convoying, otherwise it doesnt work. |
22 Jul 10 UTC | Spring, 4: Welcome back, Griff :P. I hope Asylum plans on playing while he's away :o |
23 Jul 10 UTC | Spring, 4: XD shush. forgot about this. and I dunno if he is.. |
23 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 4: I reserved time to kick some ass! ;) |
23 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 4: kick ass or kiss ass? |
24 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 4: He'll probably kick Akrine's first (after kissing it), followed closely by mine. :P |
27 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 5: Nah, its Tom's turn to get his ass kicked :) |
27 Jul 10 UTC | Autumn, 5: ^ This :P |
06 Aug 10 UTC | Autumn, 8: Someone halp me :( |
