24 Dec 20 UTC Congrats to Russia on a dominating performance. I spent almost my entire time in the game trying to slow you down, but you correctly predicted where I would attack/defend almost every time. Good game.

Shortly after I joined (Autumn 1997), I made a mistake by moving too aggressively toward Spain. At the time I didn’t anticipate how quickly Russia would chew through Poland. I quickly tried to correct the situation by backing off, but Spain was already suspicious of me, and we wasted too many seasons leaving units to defend against each other.

Still, I thought Spain’s decision to keep attacking Germany in Paris was clearly a mistake. We needed a strong Germany to have any hope of keeping Russia at bay.

Congrats to France and England both surviving when that seemed very much in question for the last few years.

24 Dec 20 UTC And yeah, Russia's absolutely crazy expansion speed caught me off guard, too. Me taking Paris from Germany isn't even a point worth discussing, Italy. It was one SC and Russia completely rolled Poland and Germany regardless of anything I was doing. You are correct in that your moving against me and then us having to position against each other was a waste of time, but again, it really is only a point worth bringing up because of how quickly Russia rolled through the east.
