If I was in Turkey's shoes, I would be a bit mad (rightfully so) at the results.
Some comments:
- Italy, you really should have turned towards me latest by Autumn, 1908 after Turkey had retreated from your coast. Ideally, a few turns earlier to be honest. Turkey's retreat was a clear sign that he was willing to stay put to let you hold me back. In the end I didn't need Marseille but being completely unharrassed around Spain made the solo so much simpler for me.
- Russia you really needed to cycle your units to get an army in Sevastopol, leaving Moscow unguarded was so advantageous for me. Also I understand protecting your SCs but it doesnt matter if you have 3 SCs or 1 SC in the end as long as you can stop my solo.
- Germany, decent game for a new player (correct me if I'm wrong). Some info, building a fleet in Kiel in Autumn 1901 is the most clearest sign for England that you're going to move against me (you can disguise it a bit my building a fleet in Berlin). If you're going to stick with that plan though, then attacking France at the same time isn't ideal in most cases.
- Turkey, no complaints here except maybe you should have moved earlier against Russia seeing that he wasn't moving against me. Not entirely sure about that though, the fact that you moved back from Italy should have been more than enough of doing your part to stop my solo.
- France, not much to say to except the meta is very anti-France in Gunboat. Itay attacking you (supported by Germany into Marseille) was the final nail in the coffin.
04 Nov 20 UTC GG England. Solid victory. Not taking anything away from it, you played really well, but it seemed like nobody could see it coming til it was way too late - even after you got in to Kiel on 15 SC's, Germany still moved towards me and left Berlin for you to walk in to. Enjoyed watching your build up while I was being gang-f*cked though and the execution was spot on.
04 Nov 20 UTC GG. England is completly right. I saw what was coming (maybe it would have been better to move away from Italy one year earlier) and did what I could do. It´s a pity Russia and Italy didn´t saw the signs of an upcoming Englsih solo. So @Russia @Italy, I hope you at least have learned your lesson for future games...
04 Nov 20 UTC Thanks for the feedback. To be fair, once England got into the Baltic and Warsaw there was no way I was holding Berlin. So I moved out on the off chance another SC would open up. I wish Russia had worked with me in Scandinavia instead of attacking my eastern border. Well played England
