27 Jan 21 UTC Congratulations. Fun game.
27 Jan 21 UTC Game was decided in 2015 when Mexico got 3 builds. Congrats and well played! Had I been able to achieve a 3-0 build season, I would have done the same thing.
27 Jan 21 UTC Good game all ! Too bad Texas decided to fight me for so long.
28 Jan 21 UTC Haha, Texas. It is clear that you help Mexico to clean all its targets. What do you expect after he has nothing to do?
28 Jan 21 UTC Anyway, i saw that you and him are sharing lot of the game. Weird!
28 Jan 21 UTC Thanks a lot for playing. It was a fun game. With this name I'm happy it was fun for everybody. :)
@Sam: Thanks the long and strong alliance, I felt as bad for break this as I felt against nguyment in the other America-gunboat (as I remember it was almost in the same time). I would feel better to have a draw with You, but we play to win to gain points, so I felt I need to try the chance for solo.
I agree the key was the 3 build in 2015 I was lucky to reach there.
I was trying to keep You at second place, but Thibauld moved on NCar in last turn, so I've failed. But I'm happy to see to only me has such extra goals upon the points. :)
@Thibauld: You were still attacking Sam in 2015A after I've moved on him 2015S. I was happy for that, but I think that made less trust between You and him.
@minhtian: i don't think it is weird. I like these kind of 10 player maps and as I see sweetwatersam also like them. But not only him, nguyment, dagabs0 are also take part usually in them. Unfortunately these maps are not so popular, we don't have too much from these games, so it is likely we both are in. You can ask moderators if You feel issue.
I'm happy to play with him, I think he his a very good player, usually it is very difficult to win battles against him.
And I don't think Sam's tactic was bad. It is important to build up an alliance and build trust. If You do then You have a good chance to reach to the final. Then it is mainly luck if it will be a draw or You or somebody else can take a solo. I was the one who stepped back first from our border (at least more strongly), and I helped him first to gain new territory. I can understand why he had trust in me. I played that way, because I really felt that I would happy to have draw with him. I think he felt this. Unfortunately for him I'm just moderate sentimental and I take the chances for the solo when it is so clear even if I have good ally. I thought and he has written he would do the same if could get into the position. But with Texas in the middle it is quite difficult. I was just luckier this time.
I understand why You and some other player feel like this. Mainly I also prefer to be secure, but if You play just to be secure You won't win too frequently. If You have an ally and You don't show You trust him, it could be a trigger for an attack. It is a very difficult situation. If he would move against me then New York and Heartland would easily catch him from the other direction and we have a draw without him.
Sorry I'm long. I happily discuss about tactics. :)
28 Jan 21 UTC You are right, I made this mistake of attacking him after you turned on him... Sadly I did not noticed your moved... I did not pay enough attention to the map.
28 Jan 21 UTC Still, as you said, it is very difficult to be Texas and he should not hae allowed you to become so powerful while fighting me but again, not sure i'd have stopped to go against him.
I should have locked the seas better also.
