10 Sep 20 UTC | Good Game Carthage. I just wish the initial Roman emperor hadn't been a total...I don't really know how to describe his first year moves honestly. :I |
10 Sep 20 UTC | Well played everyone. I am sorry that the initial erratic play by Rome largely pre-determined the outcome. Although I am surprised the rest of you did not gang up on me earlier to offset that. |
10 Sep 20 UTC | I had fully committed to an attack on Persia with the thinking that you would have a solid challenge with Rome :) I tried to send troops your way, but Persia played well and I couldn't send enough new ones to make much of a difference. |
10 Sep 20 UTC | You sure did give me a nasty surprise. Things may have gone differently if Rome dragged things out another year or so. I wonder how Persia would have responded if you disbanded A-Petra and F-Sinai in Autumn 5 instead of A-Sahara and A-Phazania though. |
10 Sep 20 UTC | Yeah, probably should have gone after Rome earlier. |
10 Sep 20 UTC | True, I was hoping that Greece was going to swoop west and take up Rome's slack, but that didn't happen. |
10 Sep 20 UTC | Especially since it was right there for me to take! |
10 Sep 20 UTC | Ships happen and then they sink. :P |
10 Sep 20 UTC | Yup, we were all fairly screwed at the offset. It made some sense for Egypt & Greece to try to eliminate me, and then hope that Carthage would agree to a 3 way draw. But that's hindsight. If Egypt had disbanded different units, we would've held out longer, but it was probably too late by then. |
