15 Oct 20 UTC hi im a fucking moron sorry about losing the game for everyone
15 Oct 20 UTC my only excuse (sorry if tmi) is that my grandma died on monday and ive been a mess since and I should have just asked for a pause on my games rather than play like shit
15 Oct 20 UTC No worries pyxxy, just an internet board game.
Sorry to hear about your grandmother, my condolences.
15 Oct 20 UTC Sorry for your (irl) loss, pyxxy.

While I deserve much of the blame for the rise of Austria, I don't really regret it. My Spring 04 move to Silesia was originally intended to bounce the Austrian army out, not to stab Germany. Once Ukraine was lost, though, there was no hope of defending myself in the South in the long run. From there, I had to try to secure a draw-worthy position for myself in the North, using the Austrian solo threat as a justification for my existence.

Unfortunately, France had the same general idea and two people playing this way was enough to make the solo actually happen. In my opinion, G/I should have worked together to cut France after I was expelled from the German homeland in Spring 1908. The French armies were essentially Austrian mercenaries in blue trench coats.
15 Oct 20 UTC I was always willing to fight for the draw and signaled Italy to get into position multiple times so I disagree with idea that my armies were Austrian mercenaries in blue trench coats. If Italy had sent an army to Gascony and stopped trying to whittle me I absolutely support hold Marseilles and we have a "nice" 5 way draw.

As for @Italy, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. That is an absolute tragedy and is way more importantly than any game
15 Oct 20 UTC My condolences to you :(
15 Oct 20 UTC Ty all for the kind thoughts. France is correct, they signaled, I misplayed it. I was hoping Germany would help cut out France much sooner. I am interested in Germany's thoughts on that situation.
15 Oct 20 UTC Fair point, France. My comment wasn't about your actual 1910/1911 play, but rather the potential of what your armies could do as of 1908/09. I'm also interested to hear Germany's thoughts. For me this is kind of like being Jamie Lannister about to meet Bran during Season 8....
15 Oct 20 UTC I was pretty sure France would let me take the win there. Sorry about your loss, Pyxxy.

GG
15 Oct 20 UTC I blame everyone but me.
15 Oct 20 UTC Gg all.
15 Oct 20 UTC Condolences to pyxxy as well.

I wasn't really interested in cutting France out. Felt like they deserved to make the draw and it seemed risky.
16 Oct 20 UTC Wow, brutal finish. Wp Chaqa
16 Oct 20 UTC Condolences for your grandmother, pyxxy.
