Game drawn
04 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: We have just gotten
a breakthrough down here, so I
prefer an attack.
04 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: France says can't solo
But also refuses draw ...
Suspicious, muchly?
05 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: I want a small draw.
If England does not trust me,
they can take Belgium.
05 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: For a quick small draw
Why is Turkey the target?
Why not kill England?
05 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Cause I'm about to
knock you out with Germany's
and England's good help
05 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Perhaps we can talk
Of Belgium this coming year,
But I do trust France!

I trust Germany
Will vacate Sweden this turn,
Given the progress?

Closer in unit
Counts means easier to trust
There won’t be a stab.
05 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Somehow I still live.
Somehow the triple still works.
Shouldn't have teased so.
05 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: I doubt its members
could have made it work so long
sans something to prove.
05 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: But Naples is still
Italian for one more turn.
So yippie-ki-yay XD.
05 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Germany, I'm not
Thrilled with the fleet in Denmark.
Could it move to Kiel?

I don't mind keeping
The North Sea free, but I need
No units near it.

Thank you for Sweden!
I'll continue sending Mos
to Sevastopol.
06 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Ok my English friend
I think you may get it now
And Den goes to Kie
06 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Many thanks, my friend!
All hail the Western Triple!
Turkey shall fall soon!
06 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Monsieur President
I have ordered Nap to Con
(via convoy, of course)

You don't likely care
But I could be your stooge there
Otherwise, good game.
06 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Hmmm. Would you like to
be in Tunis instead? I
can not do your plan. :|
07 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: French navies close in
German tanks roll through Balkans:
England makes their move
07 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Hol, Den, Kiel, Mun, Ber,
Vie, War, Trie, Bud, Ser, Rum, Sev:
Bul, Gre, Con, Smy, Ank, ____?
07 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: Goodbye *gasp* fair world
And good game to all *sniff sniff*
Just give peace a chance.

But now sincerely:
It was fun to write haikus
and play with you all.
07 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: It was great to play
With the mighty Italy:
Fun is all that counts.
07 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: Goodbye, Italy!
It was fun playing with you!
See you in th’ next game!
07 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: Best of luck, It'ly.
Catch you in the next one; it
was good fun to play.
07 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: Good game Italy
Thank you for playing this, and
Better luck next time
07 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: Not a big issue
But, England, i understood that
North Sea would stay free
07 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: I’ll be leaving North
Right away! I just can’t risk
Ever losing it.

It will stay free as
Long as no fleets border it!
Back to Norwegian!
07 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: Germany, can you
support hold Greece? or take some
meas're to prevent loss.
07 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: Yes i will help Greece
I just need to look better
To find the right moves :D
08 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1910: I s'pport Serbia
to Bulgaria. Perhaps
it can s'pport Aeg-Con?
09 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1910: Dibs on Ankara!
Germany, can you support
Mos to Sev with Ukr?
09 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1910: Moving Ser to Bur
And supporting Mos to Sev
And AEG Con next move
09 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1910: *Mos Sev now
09 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1910: Support Mos Sev now?
England, are you sure it's good?
I ordered it, but...
09 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1910: Supporting Mos-Sev
Allows me to poke at Arm
And to help break through.
09 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1910: Ok then, as I said
The order's already in
Good luck to us all
09 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1910: The end is now here
Turkey falls the the triple:
Ready up; we're done.
11 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1911: France, can you support
Arm to Ankara this turn?
Then Turkey is ours!
11 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1911: Also France, not thrilled
With the new fleet build in Brest.
I trust it won’t move.

I’m ready to draw
After this year comes to end.
Hail th’Western Triple!
11 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1911: Supporting the move;
moving to Mid-Atlantic;
Ready to draw soon.
11 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1911: Sounds good, my French friend!
Let’s bring this game to an end!
We are almost done!
11 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1911: I'll be moving to
NAO and North Sea for defense.
I await the draw!

To show they are for
Defense, I will put up my
Draw vote at this time.

Long live the trio:
France, Germany, and England!
May they always reign!
12 Aug 20 UTC So we're drawing, right?
I don't want to have in-fights.
Ger, get that vote up.
12 Aug 20 UTC Gg yall
12 Aug 20 UTC Interesting game
12 Aug 20 UTC GG
This is only my third Wilson game, so maybe my reading is totally wrong, but it seems to me that alliances have far more probability to last than in standard full press games. In a full press someone of the WT could have decided to work with Turkey (or with Russia in early game), or two of the three could have agreed to stab the third one. All this seems very difficult with only global press. What do you all think?
12 Aug 20 UTC This is my third Wilson too, but my limited experiences have been the same as well. There’s always the chance of a stab, but I’ve only seen that when the player thought there was a solo chance. I’m sure a major factor in this game was the strength of the WT. We were easily able to overwhelm the board so long as we kept the alliance. I think we would’ve seen more flexibility (and excitement) if we hadn’t formed the WT right away.
12 Aug 20 UTC Good game, everyone--and congratulations to the WT for reaching the draw, despite antagonism from the southern half of the board.
12 Aug 20 UTC Good game yall - that was good fun.
12 Aug 20 UTC I def agree that it’s harder to stab in Wilson bc you don’t know if the person you’d stab with is down. It’s just safer to keep with your allianve
12 Aug 20 UTC GG,and congrats to the winning Triple. My two cents - Wilson does make stabs harder, because they can't be coordinated. I honestly think either France or Germany could have played for the solo win with a better than 1/3 chance at several points in the game, though. Probably the Southern press inadvertently helped things adjust so these windows were narrower than they might have become.
12 Aug 20 UTC So what's the next game? Musical theater lyrics only?
12 Aug 20 UTC Over on vdip they're organizing an "all alliances announced" game, with some other twists (can't break an alliance without announcing a turn ahead, etc). I think that would be interesting to do, although it's not really a public press thing.
13 Aug 20 UTC Oh, i forgot to congratulate Turkey. I think you played tactically well, and diplomatically did everything you could to split the WT. Just bad luck :)
And thanks to my allies, of course
