25 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1902: Hi all, new Russia is here.
26 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1902: Hi new Russia!

30 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1904: I'm going to be away over the weekend (Fri-Mon) and might not have phone signal for much of it. With at least 5 days after this turn I don't think it's worth pausing but I may be slow to respond to press.
31 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
31 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1904: Ahoy! New Germany here
03 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: Back online now, catching up on things!
03 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: Same! I was away this weekend and not as active.

What are your thoughts for this year? I can perhaps try and support you into Paris? It looks like Italy is gunning for you pretty strongly. In return, i would appreciate the help to get into Denmark?
03 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: Nice thoughts... on global... :)
03 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: LOL whoops, that's what I get for not reading my messages. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
03 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: Luckily everything that I wrote was pretty apparent from the board...
03 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: GameMaster: Gr8uniter was banned: Requested by user. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!
03 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: Someone has come along to help.
04 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: Welcome, new Austria!
08 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
09 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: Hi all! I'm a new Italy. Hope everything is fine with the previous one, it"s a not a typical position for leaving...
09 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: Welcome new Italy! We are getting a bit thin on the ground on original players now!
17 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
17 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1905: Crap, my bad everyone.
17 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1905: No problem. :)
5 day phase is too long for enough. :))
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1905: So, Germany realised they'd missed the first deadline then didn't submit orders before the extension???
18 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1905: That is exactly what happened! Won't happen again
25 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
27 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: As I see last moves, if we don't draw this game now, it'll be Italian solo.
So my vote is in - to tell everybody, what is the real threat in this game.
31 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1906: Turkey was a little optimistic to vote for a Draw, but I don't think I have any intention of going for a solo...
31 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 1906: Turkey was doing what one does when all is going black. Look for anything.
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1907: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1907: And he's gone...
24 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: New Austria, here. Looks like we have a fun one. Any chance that Italy can move back as a sign of good will? :)
25 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: Welcome! Thanks to join.
Of course there is a chance for that, I've already offered it to the previous Austrian ruler. I was happy with his alliance until he started to not answer.
25 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: I don't really understand why there was no chance for the new player to retreat somewhere from Triest. Shall we send it as a bug?
25 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: Worth asking before we finalise orders this turn.
25 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: Somebody can do it? I have the less reason for that. :))
25 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: I think the previous guy may have purposely destroyed the unit. I will send a request to find out.
27 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: Did you hear back from mods about the disband?
28 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: The previous Austrian leader disbanded the unit in Trieste.
28 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: That was nice of him...
05 Oct 20 UTC Austria fucked up all again...
05 Oct 20 UTC Except Italy of course...
05 Oct 20 UTC England, I told you, that this and the previous Austria is one and the same... you'll see this now.
05 Oct 20 UTC Well fair played to Italy he obviously manages to keep Austria on-site until it was too late. Although if you look at things from his perspective if he had turned against Italy earlier he probably would have been crushed by Russia.

We also failed to finish off Germany, leaving him with no choice but to die (to stop Italy), or to side with Italy, score a few centres back off us, and still lose. But taking over a CD, no points at stake, so may as well have fun?

In the end, I was also at fault for getting too out of position with fleets in Swe and Bal in 1903/4 and presenting a weak flank for Italy's navy to exploit.

Overall, the very long turns and lots of CD made it a bit less fun than usual, irrespective of the result.
05 Oct 20 UTC Now the only decision left is if Italy will vote Draw before the end of the retreat phase
05 Oct 20 UTC Not the same, but the assumption is fun.when I took Austria over te previous person had already burned every possible bridge. He purposefully destroyed units he did not have to, retreated units to completely illogical places, and left me with almost nothing. When I took over, I considered what Italy could do and quickly realized that the only way we could stop him was to guess his moves precisely and get every single one right. Not just some, all.

Sorry I couldn't save a game that was too far gone. It is just a game. Gg all.

Italy, one last chance for you to submit a draw, or we will really sock it to you next phase.
06 Oct 20 UTC Thanks the game guys! It was fun!

It was a big surprise that this has finished, I was even afraid I will lose Triest not to reach 18 this time, but I was lucky with the order choices. BarrettG has right it was very difficult to guess all the time all the step to defend well himself.

I've joined here into a very good position, previous Italy did a very good job, he would deserve at least the half of the points. I hope it is everything okey with him, it wasn't a usual CD position what he left.

I can just agree with IBethune's thoughts. I could convince (previous) Austria because we could have easily a 3 way draw without him, and I could convince him that we can have one without Russia. I was worried when Stacee_Jaxx voted for the draw, sorry I haven't responded for that in the global, I felt it is better to stay in silence and talk directly to Austria to convince him to stay with me.
I was worried I stepped too early when I was afraid You could turn Austria to your side, but it was just lack of communication from his side. If I don't change my steps in that turn it could be even easier solo.
I think it is clear that BarrettG have chosen to fight against me, he was just unlucky with the steps.
I guess if IBethune and Stacee would include into their alliance RayJay then it would be different end. Maybe a 4-5 player draw, but I think I would go from ER position that direction in the time when RayJay joined here.

Anyway thanks a lot for the game. I wish You lot of luck and enjoyable games!
