I think I was quite lucky this game. Two main reasons I won was that Egypt and Carthage contested each other so long about the Leptis and Rome brought an army to Sicilia so they could not break the Carthage even with Carthage fighting on two fronts, what provided me a huge amount of time :)

Yeah, that struggle over Leptis was painful. I wasted like three years on that. Don't sell yourself short though, you played a good game. Gg!
