30 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot of countries are doing things to help France solo?
30 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: France truly is the iron fist within the velvet glove.
30 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: *cough*... England... *cough*...
31 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
31 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: Germany in civil disorder.

If they don't rejoin, perhaps we don't try to find a replacement? (Or could try advertising on the forum?)

Thoughts?
31 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: Come back Germany! Let's finish the game
31 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: Germany will be back. Don't worry.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: I am reliably informed that Germany has gone Ready. So if you all go ready we can move on.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: You seem to be very close to Germany. Maybe if you'd been this close to him from the start we wouldn't all be in this mess we're in now.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: I didn't know who everyone was until recently.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: That wasn't my point. I meant that if Austria and Germany should have stuck together and not folded like a soufflé in central Europe.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: Well, that was the plan, but the lunatic in Italy decided that because France had said they wouldn't attack them, and then repeated the same claim once they had moved into the Med and Piedmont, that they would probably be as good as their word. It seems in reality that they did something called stabbing, which is a piece of game play that Italy had not seen before. It left us middle states quite open to an attack from France.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: We can all agree that Italy is a lunatic, but that still doesn't excuse you and Germany behaving like a soufflé.
08 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
08 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: Okay, who is the lunatic?
08 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: New Germany or old Germany?
08 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: Germany back and gone ready.
08 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: Ready here too...
12 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Public Announcement: The planned 1908 Christmas party between Austria and Turkey is cancelled.
12 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: That's a shame. I was hoping for an invite
12 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: I'm still having a party if anyone wants to come.
12 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Also, I'm only doing the world a favour by preventing Austria from starting World War I in 1914.

I'm probably not on his Christmas card list any more though.
12 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Will there be baklava? I love baklava
12 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Yes of course! And Turkish delight and lashings of raki.

Wienerschnitzel is off the menu though.
12 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: If you are a wienerschnitzel fan, then they are planning be eating it at Christmas parties in Vienna. But the French hosts may force some other cuisine on locals. I'm afraid that Christmas may not be quite the same for most Austrians this year. War is hard.
12 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Awwww! You need a nice cup of tea! Solves everything.
24 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1913: Good game. Well played France and England. You were both a pleasure to play with.
24 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1913: Ooh, someone's a sore loser.
24 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1913: Yes, well played all. Germany confused me, England confused me, Turkey befuddled me and France kept sending me awkward love letters. But on the whole, a fantastic game with fun players.
24 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1913: !!France!! Why aren't I getting awkward love letters!!! *Hurt*
24 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1913: Spending warm summer days indoors,
Writing frightening verse,
To a buck-toothed girl in Luxembourg…
25 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1913: Because if it’s not Love
Then it’s the draw, the draw, the draw,
the draw, the draw, the draw, the draw
That will bring us together
25 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1913: Don't ask me, ask me, ask me,
Don't ask me, ask me, ask me...
28 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1914: Interesting choice of disbands there France - not sure why you'd prefer me and England to have a two-way draw rather than you sharing in the three-way draw?
28 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1914: Don't let Turkey win.
28 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1914: No lingering bitterness there I see, that's nice.
29 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1914: At this point would it be churlish of me to point out that Austria spent the first few years of the game attacking me with Italy, despite his assurances to the contrary?

And perhaps that may have succeeded if Italy and Germany had held firmer against the French advance?

So maybe his current misplaced anger directed against me is actually more deeply rooted in his own failure of maintaining a successful alliance with Italy and Germany, rather than anything that happened subsequently?
29 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1914: It's not misplaced anger. It's vengeful, resentful, unforgiving, petty, relentless anger that serves a purpose in healing the deep stab wound that I have.
29 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1914: Literally every player in the game except England attacked me at some point yet somehow I'm the bad guy?
02 Jul 20 UTC England and France,

Unfortunately I'm going to be away with zero internet access for roughly 48 hours this weekend, sorry. I'm not completely sure, but I think it'll be roughly Saturday 5pm UTC till Monday 5pm UTC.

Would you be happy to pause the game between these times please? I'd be much obliged.
02 Jul 20 UTC No
02 Jul 20 UTC Fortunately you don't get a say in it.
02 Jul 20 UTC Nope ha ha ha ha ha
02 Jul 20 UTC Oh, go on then
02 Jul 20 UTC Thanks.
02 Jul 20 UTC Have you considered counselling for PTSD, Austria?
03 Jul 20 UTC Unlucky England - really well played, ridiculously close at the end.

Thank you for the game everyone, well played.
03 Jul 20 UTC I told you all. I warned you. You let him win. I'm disappointed in you both.
03 Jul 20 UTC Chill. It's only a game. I had fun and I learned a lot.
Thank you everyone! Well done Turkey.
