18 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1: All Hail Ceaser! For Rome and For Glory!
19 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1: Don't mind me, I'm just an old civilization looking for some iron.
19 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1: Rome implores the players to mark ready when moves decided so we can move this game at a good pace given no negotiation in private.
19 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1: Patience. Rome wasn't built in a day.
20 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1: Rome kindly asks Greece to focus its efforts and energy to its south against Egypt where contention already exists while we deal with similar contention with Carthage. Patience in the north until we handle our naval operations for each our benefit.
Regards, Ceaser
20 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 2: Rome redacts its prior statements per the requested operational procedures pertinent to the Ancient Treaty of Facebook Messenger.

Radio Silence for further game activity.
20 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 2: I think if you want to have fun in all chat no one is opposed
20 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 2: well in that case lets party in our Togas!!
20 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 2: I think talking and joking is fine, but the spirit of gunboat is no negotiations. Joining in the toga party!
Ceterum autem censeo Roma esse delendam.
20 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 2: belli, si eius vis exspectare usque ad tempus comedes illud postquam vinum meum consummare

TOGA TOGA TOGA!
21 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 2: this game is gonna take a long time lol.
21 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 2: FOR THE HOLY LAND!
21 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 2: is Rome the only starting country that didn't have 2 supply centers directly next to its home supply centers and not out of touch of other countries.....i'm so sad
21 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 2: seems as though i missed the opportunity and needed to fully extend myself in year 1 as rome....lesson learned
21 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 2: Year 1 Rome could grab Sicilia turn 1 and Massila and either Vind or Dal by turn 2.
21 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 2: yeah but no opportunity to push past and come back to a supply uncontested like between carthage and egypt or greece and persia,

also to the north those could be contested in year 1 by greece. Really its just sicilia year if you choose not to send your naval force to sea which seems like a risk.... if you chase massila and sicilia you have commited to extending your forces with no clear protection to rome or neapoli from carthage as they freely take 3 supply centers in year 1 then... I'm just realizing that my opening strategy may have been flawed given the roman position and this map.
21 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 2: gun boat style i simply should have gone for all 3 is what im getting at it. without two build in the fall of year 1 rome is hampered without 2 addn'l
directly neighboring supply centers
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 3: Everyone is welcome to use as much time as they need to think about their moves. However, I just want to give a polite reminder to please check to make sure you have pressed Ready once you have finalized your decision on what moves you want to make. Take all 24 hours if you need it to think, but if everyone has decided, please use Ready to speed the game up.
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 3: The battle for Jerusalem rages on!
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 3: As is tradition.
