3 excused missed turn
Game drawn
16 May 20 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
16 May 20 UTC Spring, 1905: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Delay has been noted
16 May 20 UTC Spring, 1905: Alright, commence talking! You didn't sign up for a gunboat tournament, I presume.
16 May 20 UTC Spring, 1905: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Paused through Monday
19 May 20 UTC Spring, 1905: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Unpaused

01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: I’m not sure if our game is running slowly or if the next rounds are beginning quickly, but is anyone else concerned about having three tournament games up at once? I’d be willing to draw now/soon so everyone can focus on the last games if that’s what everyone else wants
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ugh!
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: I'm not so much concerned about the next rounds starting, as long as they aren't starting tomorrow. However, and only Goldfinger would probably have those stats, the number of missed turns across the whole tournament must be concerning. I think it will be exacerbated when there are three games running concurrently.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): It's more than I would've hoped for. A lot of people's RR's have been thoroughly trashed by this tournament. But I'm hopeful the more games people are in, the less likely they are to miss orders due to higher engagement.
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: That’s really surprising, given the length of phases. I’m hardly one to talk after missing the first phase myself, but i never claimed not to be a hypocrite :P
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: I'm sorry, that was me
01 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: My internet was not working!
03 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
03 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: AGAIN?

Jesus.
05 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
05 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: I am getting seriously tired of this shit.
05 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi everyone,

I will be removing the player as soon as I find a sub
05 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: Who was it? Nation, i mean, Can we know?
05 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: This tournament format invites attrition in a number of ways but it sounds like this player has limited internet.
05 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: Yes, France. That’s what I think, too. It’s unfortunate.
06 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: According to my notifications (on the main front page) "Turkey has gone into civil disorder", so it must be him I'm afraid.
06 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: People will be jumping up to take that position.
06 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: Ah, i didn’t see the notification on the main page, that was a silly question
07 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi all. Sub will be coming in tomorrow.
07 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1907: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Sub is in. Thank you everyone.
09 Jun 20 UTC My draw vote is in folks. Let’s wrap.
09 Jun 20 UTC Yeah, I’d be fine with that. Orders still in, in case anyone else objects, as i don’t want to see another Germany’s S04 :P
09 Jun 20 UTC S04?
09 Jun 20 UTC Spring if 04, where you submitted all good orders and skipped the turn!
09 Jun 20 UTC That feels like ages ago.
10 Jun 20 UTC My draw vote is in.

Germany, it's up to you.
10 Jun 20 UTC Everyone sure they want to draw? I just think there's some life to the game...although how much life for me is questionable. Especially after the discussion in the tournament thread about "good" draws and "bad" draws. Would this one not qualify as a bad draw?

Help me through here, as my math gets fuzzy some times. It does seem as though a line will be set between Russia and Italy. It's the France/Russia/Germany line where things get shaky. Looking at all the centres with potential play...Munich, Berlin wide open, Belgium was taken, Edinburgh, Denmark.

So my counting has Italy at 10, France at 9, Russia at 8. I'll go down to 5, and Turkey at 2. It seems there'll be some tension through Turkey in supports/moves/guessing. It's in the centre where France and Russia will jostle and Italy would have to reposition to determine a different course. I'm not opposed to drawing; I just want you to know that if you decide to play on, play on.
10 Jun 20 UTC Let’s be clear.... no one is voting a draw until my dots have been divided up. Just a fact. Anyone taking about draws before I’m dead is just engaging in rhetoric.
10 Jun 20 UTC And there it is folks.
10 Jun 20 UTC I’m.... kind of well known for being very direct.
10 Jun 20 UTC Salty.
10 Jun 20 UTC No no.... that's not the word they use at all.
10 Jun 20 UTC did this game draw? what the hell?
10 Jun 20 UTC It ended. I am surprised but it seemed to be consensus. If I wasn't the lone hold-out, then the game would have carried on...obviously.

On that note, what a horrible game played by myself. There's a deep flaw in my game that I'm trying to come to terms with, and it's been biting me all tournament...and no, @jamiet99uk, it's not my inputting of orders.
10 Jun 20 UTC I agree. you played horribly. You all did. In fact, I'm the only one on the board that didn't make a mistake all game. I'm going to declare victory and go home --- although, not to my capital city.... which makes it all seem quite a bit hollow.
10 Jun 20 UTC Would you all have been happier if i had pushed for the solo? France had chosen to pull back from attacking me, and Russia was a great help in reducing the former Turkey. I could have moved to WMed and Ionian in that turn, pushed into Iberia, all the while asking Russia to support Germany against France, until i finally defeated Turkey by betraying Russia, but that would have taken too long to do. I almost convinced everyone to descend upon Germany together (at last i am exposed), but defeating Turkey took too long and i got tired. So, I’ll just say I’m happy enough with things, as i think Italy can hardly do better than i did, and after so many missed phases, I’m glad to be done here. Good luck in your final rounds, everyone
10 Jun 20 UTC " I almost convinced everyone to descend upon Germany together"

Oh, tell me more.
11 Jun 20 UTC You think italy can’t solo? Play more games. Play a lot more games.
11 Jun 20 UTC Alright, Poindexter. Settle down.
11 Jun 20 UTC Poindexter? Look, I know you’re all proud of yourself for getting to ten... but you really didn’t accomplish very much — especially when you consider the alliance structure.

Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate being allowed to survive. The seven free points was much appreciated.

Poindexter.... awfully cocky — for what reason, I have no idea...
11 Jun 20 UTC It’s all in fun. Man, who let this Turkey in!!
11 Jun 20 UTC <slow clap>. Bravo. Well played.
11 Jun 20 UTC I didn’t mean that *my* solo was inevitable, i meant what i said: would the dissenters here be happier if I had tried to get a solo. I laid out the plan, namely to attack France next as i convinced Russia to stay with me until the end, but there were no guarantees for anything so i was fine with a draw. I know Italy can solo, and i have done it once myself, but Italy so often doesn’t benefit from the Lepanto, or is actually attacked by France before the position is sufficiently strengthened, so italy has a hard time with weaknesses on two sides. As i said, I’m not sure how much better an italy could have done in this game, so I’m happy with the performance.
