01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I fucked up. Sorry. I'll just take my death.
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: does anyone know if we can manually move units, or is Germany just hosed?
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I don't see a way to move them manually.
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I submitted a request to the mods to see if they could help me out.
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Maybe email the moderators with our plea? Since we're all friends and it is a private game they may be open to it. The question is how do we know what Germany's actual moves are.
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Take their word for it? A novel concept in Diplomacy, I know.
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Does anybody know the moderators? If not, I don't see how we continue this game. Germany is an integral country, and I'm saying this as a country that would perhaps benefit most from an inactive Germany.
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: If we don't hear from the moderators soon, should we vote to draw the game then begin a new one?
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I can vouch for the fact that he told me he planned to invade both France and Austria this turn, while preparing to backstab England in turn 2. Also that he thought Italy and Turkey were a couple of jerks and he never liked them. Does that help?
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Agreed that we should restart.
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Moves were actually A Mun to Bur, F Kie to Hol, A Ber to Kie. But yes, Italy and Turkey are a couple of jerks and it was Russia that I was going to backstab turn 2 ;-)
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I disagree on restarting and Germany was hopefully an ally. To begin with, Austria and Italy are shitty countries to get stuck with but when we get off to an ok start; it makes it very punitive. No offense Germany but you can possibly recover and Austria will help you where I can as I do not believe a fucking word Russia says. Maybe help you eventually take Warsaw.

Plus, England and Russia can give you Denmark in year 2 to assist. So take Holland. Italy and Turkey are only taking one supply center and Russia may only get one
01 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Mod got back to me and said this isn't something they can do. We can either cancel and start over or continue as is. Since it was my mistake I will defer to the other empires.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: My vote is to keep going as is. If I was in Germany's position, I believe I would also vote to play on. As reiterated above, Germany can take Holland or Denmark this turn. Four, five, or six of the seven powers will then take only one supply center and it will be surprisingly close to even.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I would okay with continuing on as is. The middle of the board kind of vacated, which they would have also done, so it looks like they might have a chance to salvage a run at it.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Everyone needs to hit the "Draw" button.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Just saw the other opinions. Okay, if people want to continue, we can do so.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Civil unrest in Germany. New Chancellor installed as leader. Vows to "Make Deutschland great again!"
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Greetings everyone. I just want to emphasize that I believe continuing is not a good idea. The game has already been compromised. Despite being the power who probably benefits the most, I cannot continue in good faith knowing the game will not be what it can.

I suggest we immediately all draw the game, then restart a new one. We can be finished with Spring 01 by Saturday. Also of people finalize their moves, turns progress faster. We do not always have to wait for the full two days.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I favor continuing, if only because a restart would randomize the country assignments. Not worth it for me to have to plot opening moves again with a new country.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Hello everyone. Curt Here. Again, sorry for screwing up this game. As it turns out, despite being trapped at home for the foreseeable future I don't feel like I have the time or head-space for this kind of game right now. So I'm going to have to withdraw and bow out if you choose to proceed with a new Diplomacy game. Auf Wiedersehen.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Without Germany, this game is null and void.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Everyone vote "Cancel" below.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: F**king Krauts!
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I actually think we all need to vote draw.
02 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Obviously, Austria-Hungary still wants to play especially with this start and Russia's dilemma.
