05 Dec 19 UTC | If I had known that would be the final turn, I would have used the incorrectly programmed Arctic Ocean - Northwest Territories border for my retreat. |
05 Dec 19 UTC | Is that possible? |
05 Dec 19 UTC | GGs everyone, this was super fun, I would definitely play a full game (not just coming in to fill an NMR). Lots of credit goes to the prior Florida for having an excellent position. @Mexico, in another life we could be great friends. You made a couple tricky plays :) did you like how I popped your fleet in Kingston ;) @BC, sorry for being annoying in the north, I was just bothering the board leader andddd then it changed to... @NY! A lovely neighbor, for a while. I'm not surprised that you took the draw, I don't know how you get all the way to 34 centers with me and BC turning to fight you. But I am a little sad that we didn't get to fight in the atlantic. Ah well, I should have taken down my draw vote if I wanted that, it's my own fault. |
05 Dec 19 UTC | Sadly, yes. |
05 Dec 19 UTC | That was in reply to NY about Arctic/NWT. FL, I liked how we both recognized the need to contain NY at the end despite our earlier Calgary+Guatemala shenanigans. The rather absurd looking army in Saskatchewan would have been a great asset! If the game continued with Mexico not submitting orders as he decided on the last turn, I don't think NY could have gotten any farther than KS, MO, and perhaps CO. |
05 Dec 19 UTC | I totally agree, and that's the reason why I decided to draw |
05 Dec 19 UTC | I just want to say, we always use to say good game, but I think the quality of play in this game has been really better than average. So thank you all for a truly fun game |
05 Dec 19 UTC | Good game, it was a really fun game. But since 2005, I knew it was a bad idea to attack BC and Florida simultaneously. I thought BC would have been dead in a few years, so I could have turned all my forces against Florida then. But slowly but surely I lost ground. Even I made a lot of good guesses, Florida and BC although did quite a good job. Well played, guys! |
05 Dec 19 UTC | @Mexico, you were just in an unfortunate position having to fight on three fronts |
05 Dec 19 UTC | I would have been toast if not for the NY attack on QC. |
05 Dec 19 UTC | It was good quality play I agree, though not my best play personally ... I left myself too vulnerable to the NY stab, but congrats |
05 Dec 19 UTC | Yes, you overextended a bit; but after that you put up a very tough defence |
