Awkward game for me, I kept getting traction on England but was always going to be too late to the punch to go for it. First in 1904 when Germany convoyed to Edinburgh before I could convoy in myself, then in 1906 I tried it but Russia screwed me up by helping Germany, then in 1908 I had a decent opening to try but Italy was on the verge of going +2 or +3 and getting to 11-12 centers while all my fleets would have been deployed north... It felt like having pocket kings with an ace on the board.

23 Jun 19 UTC You made one mistake Austria by not cutting the Turkish support in F03 so that i can break his defense. I have no way to make progress in Turkey after that and with no Turkish fleet a stab on Austria will work 100%. The point of the Key-Lepanto in gunboat is to let Italy have better things to do than attack Austria. As soon as it is not the case, then a stab will follow. Very professional stalemate defense by England and France. For a while I thought I had a shot at more but they got friendly just at the right time.
23 Jun 19 UTC Will keep that in mind, thanks
23 Jun 19 UTC Good game all. Thanks Russia for not dragging it out when I accidentally let you retreat into Warsaw last fall, and especially props to France for making peace at the right time. Another game where I didn't have a lot in the way of friends for a while but managed to hang on because of my strong position in the north. I'm curious about your opening, Germany; I've never seen Denmark ignored like that and assumed it was an invitation to take the north while you took on France. It doesn't make much strategic sense, and since you built a fleet and pushed it to Hel afterward, I assume you meant something different, but I'm not sure what I was supposed to understand by it. If you had an army in Kiel, I wouldn't have dared contest Denmark, but the way you played it confuses me.
23 Jun 19 UTC From the French point of view, that is exactly what he looked like he wanted :-)
