15 Mar 19 UTC GG WP, great 3 way draw, glad we ended it bc I got to get to a spring break party lmao
15 Mar 19 UTC my non sober game is no bueno
15 Mar 19 UTC for a 15 coin game, I was inpressed

Germany- Thank you for coming back or joining in You played great

England- I am hoping you are new, or else.....quit

Italy- We have played enough before, I guessed right enough for 2 turns to keep you off me, just in time for the Russian stab into Denmark which gave me my breathing room to retreat to Gascony and get a build.

It was a pretty good game all things considered folks

Germany, were you the original who missed a few turns, or did you jump in after?
15 Mar 19 UTC always one asshole that cannot ready up his last retreat and disband because his ability to quit like a dick is more important than our five minutes of time...
15 Mar 19 UTC I wasn't trying to attack you France, I was trying to distract and slow you down to put Russia "slightly ahead" of you in the race to threaten a solo.
15 Mar 19 UTC and lets be clear, had I thought I could get tunis or warsaw, I would have tried for a solo, cuz the other 5 were there to be taken
15 Mar 19 UTC I figured as much, but I threw a lot of gambits that way until I could get away from the threat...lol

Russian solo was not gonna happen, and I gave it no thought once turkey was gone
15 Mar 19 UTC by making Russia the top dog, it assures Italy is in the draw at the end to stop his solo. If France if the top dog, I might get killed or worse, lose Tunis and lose a solo. Had France owned Tunis, you might have gone for all of Scan as well, as you could have, so keeping you slowed down enough and keeping Tunis protected enough was all that I was doing by harassing you.
15 Mar 19 UTC this is a classic way to play as Italy. Try to influence who is the most dangerous on the map, not by winning a war, but through minor harassment of one player to slow him down to let another speed up.
15 Mar 19 UTC I figured as much Tugster I knew I needed tunis or warsaw, and neither looked good...lol

save 2 or 3 hours of all our lives, and take a 3 way but well played by most of us

England, as bad as he played kept me from pushing to the top, and germany coming back and a good resurgent play also made life difficult
15 Mar 19 UTC Englands erratic play was hard on me I prefer a good player, where I have a better chance of predicting moves

Tugster, you and I have played each other enough, I figured you were someone who had been around a while once you started backing off

I had to move forces off the rest in order to defend somewhat and it slowed me down Strategy effective
15 Mar 19 UTC other people heads up on COURTESY in live gunboat games.

If you need time to think, to write complex orders or to ponder your moves, sure take the full five minutes, no problem

BUT => If it is an obvious retreat, your last retreat, your last disband, etc, be courteous and READY UP...
15 Mar 19 UTC lol...I did not hit ready once cuz I needed to piss so bad it hurt. I opened a 15 dollar bottle of wine for this game damn it.
15 Mar 19 UTC that's all I was doing to you France, a deliberate minor attack to slow you down. There was a point in there with a little more inspired moves, Germany could have taken Belgium and out you under a lot more stress.
15 Mar 19 UTC so then, let me rephrase this =>

If you need time to think, to write complex orders or to ponder your moves, sure take the full five minutes, to take a piss or drop a Marine off at the pool, then no problem, take your time.
15 Mar 19 UTC I know he could have, but he refused to budge off the same moves it was interesting for a while there on the western front.

He ost Belgium too easily and didn't seem to find the way to get it back I even managed to get an army to London (dumb move by me) and back without me losing Belgium...lol interesting time there whiel Italy presses me hard in the south

That was probably your chance at a solo italy
15 Mar 19 UTC Hey Austria, Budapest - Rumania in spring 1901 is the absolute worst of the worst choice of all the possible things to do with all of your forces for the first move. When you do that move, you marked yourself as "not knowing how to play"

There is a saying that holds a lot of weight in regards to two places on the map. Rumania and Belgium. "Never in the spring". It's pretty steadfast and true through about 1903 or 1904 that whoever enters in the spring is often not there in the fall!!

As the game matures, this changes, but in the beginning, it's true.
15 Mar 19 UTC I made one mistake, did not counter the Austrian counter attack on Trieste one turn, this really slowed me down.
15 Mar 19 UTC I forgot about that move...oh goodness I had to cringe It is hard ejough playing Austria in gunboat, without making it harder

I will say I liked when you retook Trieste in mid-game gave me a breather, as Italy had an army in piedmont I knew he had to move off me
