28 Mar 19 UTC Wow. Illustrious company
This isndefinitely one of these games I would have loved to take the draw but also play out for a solo attempt too. I think rome would have destroyed me in the West if I tried, but I saw some great opportunities in the east. Especially if I could get an army convoyed to the turkey area
28 Mar 19 UTC and I could see rome was clued in the possibility by trying to stop me taking Thapsus.
I am on a poor run right now so I’ll take certain points over an unlikely win (and possibly gift Greece a solo)
Good game all
28 Mar 19 UTC should have kept going Egypt, my patience with Greece was running very thin, if his armies moved my way, I might just have given you some SC to get his attention.
28 Mar 19 UTC Yup, I chose not to forgive your initial attack, Tug. It led to an interesting dynamic, if nothing else. Either way, good defense & a well played game to the both of you.
28 Mar 19 UTC it wasn't an attack, it was simply "fair share" You got two builds, and I got one build that turn. I needed just one extra fleet in order to defeat Carthage. Had I not taken it, you would have had 3 and me zero, and I would not have been able to defeat Carthage, and Carthage may have defeated me and Rome would have lost.

His building two armies indicated to me that he intended to come for me even more, and then I was going to evacuate Carthage and give it to Egypt, further Egypt would have gained Sidon, farily easily to reach 15 SC and this likely would have forced Greece to reconsider his priorities.
28 Mar 19 UTC first paragraph is ancient history, second paragraph refers to right now.
28 Mar 19 UTC also, in spring 3, I made it very clear that my intent was peace with Greece, and I think had Greece sent less at me and more at Persia, then long term Greece would have gained the upper hand against Egypt upon the death of Persia, whereas, they way it played out, Egypt got the upper hand.
28 Mar 19 UTC Wait. Can I withdraw my draw vote and trynfor the solo then!! ;-)
28 Mar 19 UTC Only if I can get an automatic extra SC from Tug under the "fair share" rules every time Tug end up with more SCs than me in the future ;)
