28 May 19 UTC Good game, well played, New York.
But what did Heartland do?
Didn´t you saw the upcoming solo earlier on? You never should have attacked me or at least should have stopped it earlier on as it was very clear New York can take the easy solo.
28 May 19 UTC Thanks everybody and well played, New York!
28 May 19 UTC Congrats New York. I enjoyed our detente while it lasted. California, excellent play. You held off my attack quite effectively and were magnanimous in trying to stop the solo.

There was a long period when I thought New York could have made an effective stab. I couldn't keep up the same build tempo from early on. So I just hoped they were playing generously and did what I could to grow. By the time the stab came I was in too deep.
28 May 19 UTC No problem, but I hope you have learned something for next time.
28 May 19 UTC I can understand you're disappointed that we didn't force a draw but that's no reason to be condescending. Can you point to a particular turn where I could have stabbed New York that wouldn't have ended with me getting squeezed between them and you? By my judgement there was no such opportunity. New York controlled our relationship from early on.
28 May 19 UTC If we're talkin mistakes, no reason California should have taken Guadalajara, or cut my Coahulia support when Nuevo Leon tried to take San Antonio. Would have succeeded if not for that
28 May 19 UTC I'm just a sub-in, so Idk what the old Mexico was like, but California is far from flawless
29 May 19 UTC Lots of controversy! But thanks for a great game. I debated invading Heartland for years, but hit a big roadblock in Florida and bumped into Peru at the same time. I figured there was no point opening another front until I was ready, and thought it unlikely he would attack with California and Mexico behind him, so just waited. I hoped it would look less threatening also and not cause everyone to band together to stop me.

Thanks again. I think this was my second game of this variant. Take care and good luck.
