27 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1999: Good luck lads
27 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1999: All the USF lads are on the northern part of the map
27 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1999: Greetings and welcome to DIPLOMACY you absolute fucks. The object of the game is to capture as many supply centers (areas with black dots) as possible.
27 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1999: just a general question but is it possible to move armies across water in any way? or is mine just stuck in cuba?
27 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1999: you can convoy armies with fleets
27 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1999: supply center, you have to have a unit, either an army or a ship, in said province at the end of the autumn season. It will show the year, and season under the games's title. For instance right now it is Spring, 1999. So we won't be able to capture anything this turn.

There's five types of moves you need to know:

Move: You move into an adjacent province. This can only be done unsupported if a province is unoccupied and nobody else tries to enter at the same time. Every time you capture a supply center (are in at the end of autumn) you can build a new unit in an available supply center WITHIN YOUR OWN COUNTRY. Armies can only move on land, and ships can move in water as well as coastal provinces such as Anchorage or Greenland

Support move: A unit in an adjacent province to that being invaded can support the advance. A fleet cannot support an inland advance but can support on the seas or in coastal areas.

Support hold: Similar to support move, but instead of supporting an invasion, the supporting unit, which must be adjacent to the unit being supported, can reinforce the latter's line of defense, potentially preventing an enemy invasion

Convoy: In order to move armies across water, a player must have a line of ships all with orders to convoy a unit. For instance, if an army's orders were to move from South Carolina to Haiti, a ship would have to convoy

Hold: A unit holds and does nothing. This is the default order

31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: At this rate that’s 3 days
31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: No, that's not counting retreats and build turns
31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: That's also on the low side side since Olive is the only one with anything in his land rn, and it's one unit alone
31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: I’m about to be in his land
31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: You're two away turns from anything meaningful, thats 2 days
31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: Then we have a build, another day
31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: At some point, his unit needs to be moved, that's another day
31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: To be completely eliminated, we need another build turn, so any 3 days
31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: That's a week
31 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 2001: Unless you can get every single tile before the next build which is impossible
