15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: ready up bitches!
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: OK, Russia wants to gamble.
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: I'm just not seeing any new builds for Egypt at this point. Am I crazy or is 30 the max?
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: Nah, I think that's it. So close!
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: Nah, I think that's it. So close!
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: Nice try, you did great! Now all you gotta do is click that tiny button...
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: It is going to be painful for me to be forced into a draw with a player who only has four SCs!
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: Look, I understand that if you say 'withdraw and I'll consider taking out Britain' then I will try and win over Russia again. So I know it is dragging things out a bit, I get that, but I do want to at least try for a three-way by giving you and Poland five SCs each.
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: Yeah but you didn’t withdraw that first time. Your choice was easy 3 or possible solo. You chose possible solo (well done) but it didn’t work out. Now your credibility is shot.
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: Wait... I meant 'withdraw and I'll consider taking out Russia'... pardon me
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: Well. Not really. Because by reducing down to 20 SCs I am basically buying back my credibility.
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: In that there would be no way back from there - it would be a genuine three way
15 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2014: Just click draw...I’m done. Sorry. Props to you (but it’s over)!
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: Poland, looks like we got to grind for 3 years. Please have Lyon support Switz hold until further notice.
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: @England - I thought it over some more, and I think we should not advance on Egypt when and if it withdraws. Egypt is clearly watching you for an indication of whether you will truly accept a 4 way draw. The fastest way to convince Egypt that you have no ambitions for a 3 way draw is to just maintain our current border. If Russia, Poland, and England do nothing but support hold in the necessary places for two years, we can appeal to the mods to end the game if Egypt has not seen reason by then.

On the other hand, if Egypt sees you or me acquiring territory, it can continue to convince itself that there is another potential outcome here. So, having thought it over, I would prefer that we simply hold our current line.

Are you with me on this?
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: Lyon can of course provide support of Switzerland.
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: Lyon can of course provide support of Switzerland.
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: If I saw you both not advancing for two consecutive turns once I have begun this retreat - that is, this turn plus two more - I would of course shake hands.
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: The danger of your approach, Poland, is that if Britain does move and you don't, the solo risk increases.
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: But, meh.
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: Would be interested in France's thoughts on this final phase
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: I've readied up
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: Poland, I’m with you. No worries.
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: Egypt - I am happy to hear you declare that there is a point where you will be satisfied to end the game.

England and Russia - Just support hold for two rounds and we'll walk away with a draw.
15 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2015: Egypt - I am happy to hear you declare that there is a point where you will be satisfied to end the game.

England and Russia - Just support hold for two rounds and we'll walk away with a draw.
16 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2015: I have entered and readied the same orders as last round. Hope England and Russia do the same.
16 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2015: Mhm, I was last to submit last season, first to submit here
16 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2015: I’ve submitted
16 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 2015: Me too
16 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2016: All my units are now in my stalemate position. I still have some units in front of my lines - in Italy and Tyrr - but it would take a while to get them all out of the way so they are behind the lines.
16 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2016: However I can reduce down to just two armies in Italy next turn, leaving just one army in Piedmont and one in Rome.
16 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2016: So I want to do one more turn before making that offer to Britain.
16 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2016: Ready
16 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2016: Ready
16 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 2016: Ready
17 Mar 19 UTC Ready and Ready
17 Mar 19 UTC Britain, do you now want to take Marseilles, Monaco and Tunisia, while not yet making a decision about Russia? If you grow in strength it could change the balance of arguments as Poland sees it, while ensuring that we can now rule out an Egyptian solo.
17 Mar 19 UTC Ready
17 Mar 19 UTC I'm truly sorry Egypt. I appreciate your effort to eliminate Russia, but I tried it with you already. I'm committed to the 4 way draw. Please click Draw
17 Mar 19 UTC OK, I've tried my best!
17 Mar 19 UTC No coincidence that the strongest alliance of the game, Poland and Russia, has made it through to the draw. Very well played.
17 Mar 19 UTC I'm happy to have tried for a solo, and it was heading that way until after the pause. Worth a try, even if it ultimately cost me a three-way draw. Oh well!
17 Mar 19 UTC Gg Britain - I might have been tempted to try my luck with a solo bid at the end there. I think your stab of France and subsequent obfuscation was very well played.
17 Mar 19 UTC Will draw shortly
17 Mar 19 UTC England and Egypt - Your stabs of France and Turkey respectively were the things that swung the game. Both of you played well throughout and you obviously deserve your shares of the draw.

My contribution was relatively minor, but I do think my consistent pressure on the French/German front forced France to leave itself vulnerable to the British stab.

However, my pressure on Germany/France would not have been possible without Russia’s steadfast alliance. At various points in the game I would not have blamed Russia for stabbing me, but it stayed true and I am happy to see Russia rewarded with a share of the draw.

Thanks Egypt for getting your draw vote in (albeit a while later than I would have liked). :)
17 Mar 19 UTC So the question on my mind I would love your thoughts on is... could I have done anything differently to try to secure the solo that ultimately eluded me?
17 Mar 19 UTC In Spring 2011 Russia moved St. Petersburg leaving Moscow with only one support from Bielorussia. Had you been making all out attacks every round along our border, you could have taken Moscow, then Bielorussia, and we would not have been able to stalemate you. Instead, we were lucky that you just entered support holds along the border that season.

I think there is often value in making attacks that seem fruitless because people are not machines and we make mistakes or misjudgments. Occasionally, you will pick up an SC you didn’t think was possible. You miss all the shots you don’t take.
17 Mar 19 UTC I anticipated only support orders because Egypt hadn’t shown any aggression. I knew I wouldn’t be able to say I was making that move
17 Mar 19 UTC Lots of Diplomacy, treachery, and tactical moves.
Good game all guys.
Congratulations to the " drawers" .
17 Mar 19 UTC Y’all said pretty much everything that could be said. Tight game whole way through. Sorry for screwing my original allies - how many times have I said that?! Well played all around, including France and Germany. I hope Tugster will get over it. I meant nothing personal and shouldn’t be blamed because I averted the Egypt solo and achieved a draw...no rule says that France must be included. Cheers!
