06 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1901: TThis is gnarly
06 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Okay for everyone who doesn't know, the aim of the game is to take 16 supply centres. Supply centres are the circles inside some spaces, Moscow has one, Ukraine does not.
This game has time, the first turn is spring then the second turn is autumn and then this repeats.
You can only capture supply centres at the end of autumn. If you move into a supply centre during spring, your troop will stay there but you won't capture it until the next turn.
Capturing a supply centre means you can build another troop, losing one means you have to destroy a troop.

There are two units, armies and fleets (I like to call them tanks and boats). They are equally as strong, but only boats can move to sea spaces. Boats can also attack spaces that are next to the sea, and convoy armies from one land space to the other through the sea.

When a unit moves into a space that already has another unit in it, eg from Venice into Trieste, nothing happens. Both sides have a strength of 1 and it is a draw. But if a unit uses "support move" they can assist in an attack.
For example, imagine Italy has a boat in the sea next to Trieste. Italy can move it's tank into Trieste, and the boat can support the move, so the Italian army will have a strength of 2 and they will win.
If Hungary does not want to lose Trieste, his tank in Budapest or Vienna can use "support hold' which means they will assist a defence. This means the Hungarian army will have a strength of 2, or even 3, and will win.

Other countries can support your attacks, for example Italy and Germany can work together to attack Hungary, making both countries stronger. This is where "Diplomacy comes in"
