26 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: Of course you kept that one Britain! xD
26 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: @Egypt I suggest moving to Libyan Sea to prevent him from snagging Libya on a retreat.
26 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: Well, Italy, I figured you and France would think I’d be dumb enough to go to protect London
26 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: France can we have peace up north? :)
26 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: LOL at Britain. Yeah, I think both Italy and I knew you were going to keep that fleet. You had a choice between predictable defense for one turn or the chance to be a gadfly for a while depending on your luck.
26 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: @Italy: One of us should enter the Norwegian Sea next turn. Do you want in?
26 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: Or, and this just an idea, you can NOT enter the Norwegian and have peace instead
27 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: Assuming Italy NAP with me still stands...
27 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: Well, I bet the wrong way... gg, Italy.
27 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: @Russia, my basic take on the situation is pretty simplistic. I'm a naval power. You have one fleet. I should take control of as much of the northern seas as I can. I'm open to a discussion about why peace with you is in my best interests, but I'm not going to embrace peace for the sake of peace if it doesn't advance my interests. (And those interests include maintaining SC parity with my fellow Southern Powers as we move forward.)
27 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: Well, aside from the fact that I support the south, you're already on your way to surpassing both Italy and Egypt in SC gains from finishing off Britain and Germany. Assuming Ukraine and Poland fall as well, the rough SC division would be Russia: 6, Egypt: 16, Italy: 20 and France: 22. You don't need to go north to maintain parity, just keep doing what you're doing.

I am ultimately at the mercy of the southern trio. I hope to be allowed to keep what I have, but I desire, if nothing else, to have one or two SC's and make it to a draw. I doubt my betrayal of the anti-med group earns me any goodwill, but I do hope it will help grant me a stay from the executioner's block.
27 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: Yeah, not gonna work Russia. All of the north together didn't have enough leverage or persuasiveness to get them to stop. Good luck holding out on your own.
27 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2001: My game is over. I'm barracking for Egypt now. C'mon Pharaoh! The solo is yours, you just have to take it!
27 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: @ France I’ll go to
Norwegian Sea, why not.
29 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: The hell, Poland?
29 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Anarchy!
29 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2002: @France Let me know if you need convoys at all!
30 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: I'm supp Volga - Moscow!
30 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: I thought Turkey was the worst, but you've definitely fought for that title, Ukraine.
30 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: xD
I have nothing to do here, I'm just helping to end this fast, come on, you've no chance against Egypt and Italy, neither me or Austria, we fight at the beggining, and that helped Italy and Egypt to grow bigger than the 3 of us, so why delay the inevitable?
It's better if this ends quickly at this point, so we can focus in other games!
30 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: if you prefer, I'll hold and no move at all!
30 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: but pls, look at the map, you can't win or survive this game if they don't allow you!
30 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: I'd prefer you try to fight back, or do nothing if you refuse to fight. I prefer to try and earn a draw.
30 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: but you, me and Austria can't fight them, and they want a 3 way draw, if you fight, it will take longer, but you'll lose as me and Austria!
I'll do nothing against you, but think about it! xD
30 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: I'd still rather fight and hope for being left a single SC than give up. I fought back from the brink to reach this point, and I'm not about to roll over now.
31 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: You've got no bargaining power Russia. It's over, they have the high ground.

If only you had kept alive all of those buffer states between you and the southern alliance.

Also, how incompetent has Ukraine been in this game? There is no nation of 'Austria' on this map. He's literally throwing the game away because he's bored. I always had a feeling that he didn't quite grasp the instructions Turkey was giving him all game long, unlike Britain who instead objected to being told what to do on some shallow emotional level.

You picked the wrong allies Russia. Game over.
31 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: @Russia, I agree, and so do I agree with Germany.

@Ukraine, why just give up? You have literally given France/Italy/Egypt the draw/win and given away your own centres as well as all of your allies’ because why?

Also I’m POLAND not AUSTRIA and I have never occupied. Austria. Granted, Turkey was very annoying, and I would have immediately invaded him from the start if I had shared a border or had the opportunity. You were the one who had that opportunity, but didn’t invade because you could put up with him. We all found Turkey annoying and wanted to do something about it, and you, one of the few who could, didnt. Yet when Turkey was actually being helpful and giving you reasons not to give up, instead of giving useless commentary, you then decided he was too annoying and didn’t respond to his messages because you weren’t bothered to read them, which led to your inevitable defeat, as well as Germany’s, mine and Russia’s (and Turkeys), who were your allies and it gave your enemies a chance to win. If you weren’t bothered to read the chat, why sign up for a global chat game? Again, Turkey was unnormally chatty compared to most others, but not reading them and finding them annoying and then screwing everyone over when YOU wanted to as well as not participating in an alliance because you weren’t bothered doesn’t make sense. And they only grew bigger cos we/you allowed them to, by ruining the defence line.

What I’m saying is, why give up when there is hope? Of course now there is not, but there was, until you let Italy through. Don’t expect to win or survive every game, but just because you’re not going to, that’s no reason to give up, especially when it affects you and 4 others. And if I was about to be defeated, I would ensure it would take as long as possible, to annoy my enemies as much as I could and maybe hope for a draw, this has worked for me many times.

I know Austria is the same colour on the classic map, which leads me to ask, have you played many modern games before, where there are 9 other people involved, not just 6?
31 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2002: @France I will support you into Berlin, just let me know which unit. And as for Norway, thank you! Let me know how that unit can continue to be of service.
31 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2003: Also, happy to trade Sweden for Norway next Autumn so you don’t feel cut off. @Egypt I am going to pull up in Lithuania so anything North of that is all you.
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: Egypt and Italy, any chance I can persuade you to take pity on me and let me live? I surrender to the might of the Green nations.
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: pathetic, begs for his life at the end.
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: I’m for it, because Turkey responded.
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: @ Italy Thank you!
@ Russia Sounds good- I will leave you with Murmansk and then we can draw :) Would you be willing to vacate your SC (except Murmansk) to speed up the inevitable?
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: @Italy support Hamburg to Berlin, please.
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: Got it. I will support you into Skag or something too, if you need it. Otherwise I will just hang out.
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: I'm leaving Lit and moving to Gda!
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: from war
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: @Russia, if you vacate Mos and Stp, I'll leave Lat for you, so you can move there and into Est
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 2003: I will gladly accept your terms, Egypt!
02 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: Italy, do you want support into Sweden?
02 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: Sure!
03 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: Moving out of St.P now, Egypt!
04 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: I've got my draw vote in, ready when the rest of you are!
05 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: Likewise.
05 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: Moi aussie, for the reccord.
05 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: Just you @Egypt!
05 Nov 18 UTC good game!
05 Nov 18 UTC GOOD GAME! :D Thanks for letting me live!
