26 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1999: Hi everybody, have a nice game!
29 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: GameMaster: Mad Mathemagician was banned: multi. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!
29 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: New Peru here! I welcome all diplomats to contact me. I will attempt to honor all deals unless they are impossible based on double-dealing of my predecessor or because they require ridiculously stupid moves on my part.
29 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: Greetings new Peru. Glad to have you. Good luck.
01 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: Man, BC has it rough, only a single guaranteed SC at the start of the game where most everyone else has a very good chance at at least 2 if they do their diplomacy well.
02 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: That's true but you're making good progress even after the rough start. It also depends on how Heartland and Quebec play out their moves. If they focus on the west, BC usually goes first. If they don't and BC can tackle Cali like you did, it creates a pretty good game for BC then.
02 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: What do you do as Mexico when no one wants to team up with you?
02 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: Fight or die.
02 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: Like being Austria
02 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: Lol, that is precisely what I thought. You just fight like the devil and hope on of your neighbors gets stabbed.
04 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Helps when you play BC and Cali doesn't put up much of a fight.
04 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Or any fight, really
04 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Yes, unfortunate.
06 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2002: Why did I build an army in Anchorage again? Man, you think one thing and then you come back and your like, what on earth was I thinking?
06 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2002: And why didn't I use all my builds? GG
06 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2002: Sunday night drinks I believe?
19 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2005: I'm ready to draw
26 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2007: So done with this game
26 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2007: My draw vote is in
26 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2007: GG Well played
31 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2008: And there I was fighting everybody to prevent ganging up against Cuba. Nice. I don't even remember how many players I told honesty that I won't be betraying Cuba or Heartland even though I had golden chances?? Peru, Quebec, Heartland of course, Mexico too? BC probably?
31 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2008: When the opportunity is just too tempting for many betrayal is soon to follow.
01 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2008: Cuba turned on me in a heartbeat. Not sure how he hasn't turned on Peru yet
01 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2008: @Florida - with Quebec all but gone, I'm not sure how you were going to move forward without betraying with Cuba or HL - I think Cuba just pre-empted what he thought was inevitable given your armies that you sent to his border. Maybe he should have convoyed you into Potosi first - your armies would have been quickly stranded and useless there.
01 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2008: Heartland and I had already discussed that I would be setting up a convoy chain to go into the west. North Atlantic and Arctic along with Greenland mean I can easily start going to the west. I am pretty sure it wasn't inevitable. If I managed to hold on this long, you think I would keep moving all my armies up north if I wanted to stab Cuba? Knowing that Quebec had only one center left??
07 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2010: Does anybody agree to me that all 5 surviving players have played really well and that it's a long hard battle for all parties at this moment. Would you guys be interested in a 5-way draw? We get what we own since it's a SOS game.
07 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2010: I'm down for that, My draw vote has been in for a while, but I don't think Heartland or Cuba are up for that
07 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2010: I am not opposed to a draw, but I am still having a lot of fun.
07 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2010: My draw vote is in too. Now upto you guys to decide.
07 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2010: I'm not opposed to a draw - it will be a tough fight from here. Also open to keep going as it isn't settled yet - not like we're seeing stalemate lines everywhere.
12 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2011: Why would heartland draw. They're going to win easily if things continue to progress.
12 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2011: There's the final nail in the coffin for me. My trusted ally betraying me again!!
15 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2012: 2012, the end of the world
18 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2013: This is sum-of-squares, so I am voting draw now. I leave it to the rest of you to decide when it happens.
18 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2013: Does Cuba actually believe in drawing?? I doubt it!
18 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2013: Maybe, but he is also the most vulnerable.
19 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2013: Everybody hol' up. You can move a fleet from NYS to NYC, what is that bullshit?
19 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2013: Yep, I do it all the time. Open the variation hotlink above and it will tell you the canal rules.
19 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2013: Yeah - I warned someone about that earlier in the game - it's a move I've been surprised with - a good trap for those who know to use it against those that don't.
23 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: Here we are, three left. So, its going to be a fight to the death? I mean, that is a Peru solo, I have been pretty honest about that I would rather throw it to one than get played and torn apart.

Y'alls call.
23 Sep 18 UTC As soon as build phase finished, I cast what looks like the last draw vote.

Good game all. Nice working with you Garagenpunk - you were a good ally. Nice playing yellowfin.
23 Sep 18 UTC Sad
23 Sep 18 UTC Good game all, forgive me if my last three paranoia was extreme, but it is tough to avoid.

GG
23 Sep 18 UTC Understandable HL - I showed my own paranoia in taking SF at the end. But I held to my commitment to draw.
23 Sep 18 UTC Thanks for the game slypups.
