27 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: Always tough to see someone miss the first and most important turn of the game. I hope he just missed it and didn't quit. Otherwise he'll be bullet fodder.
27 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: Yeah, that's always rough.
27 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: My apologies for going AFK. Are you guys up for a cancel, and new game?
28 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: I'm up for it. But we have to make it a private match so no one else will get on.
21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: Hi, everyone! New California here. Just looking through your messages with the previous player and OH BOY you've all been dealing behind each others' backs, haha.
I will accept one SC from each of you in exchange for not publishing the messages...
Quebec, I'll need two from you.
21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: Just kidding, he never spoke to big Q.
21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: Deal! I will give you Washington DC.
21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: I'll send my units there to claim it posthaste!
21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: Through my messages I haven't betrayed anyone except Cuba and he's dead already. I am in good relations with Texas and it is obvious that I'm at war with Mexico.

Go ahead and publish my messages.
22 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: I was just kidding guys, I won't be publishing anything... It was actually *California* that was doing all the backstabbing. On a brief read it looks like he was promising alliances with everybody, and then promising to to attack everybody in other messages...
But it could just be rapid changes of alignment, I haven't checked the dates.
22 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: Obviously he wasn't doing a good job of making alliances, otherwise he wouldn't have attacked B.C., (who is doing better than he was by the way.)
22 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: Also, LOLS from Texas.
31 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2006: Oh men, Heartland is someone who give up if he is in postion to lose. That´s so unfair! I am the one who has to suffer from it. Thanks Heartland. That is really fair play. Any ideas how we can handle it in a fair way?
31 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2006: Anything can happen in these games. Heartland could come back, Quebec's internet could cut out for a couple of days... you never know!
31 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2006: Also, the way the site handles it is that it becomes available for no "wager". Usually a replacement comes in with a couple of turns.

I pretend it was an internal revolution.
31 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2006: As someone who cut a deal with heartland in the first year, only to be immediately betrayed: good riddance. Of course he took his ball and went home. He’s an opportunist
10 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2007: Is it just me or at this point is any attack other than against Quebec or Peru self defeating?
10 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2007: Is it just me or are you being a sore loser. You're losing and you're trying to gain support from who? California? He's attacking you. Florida is already tied up in fighting Quebec.
10 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2007: Seriously? This is diplomacy, negotiation is part of the game. I have lost plenty, no big deal.

But Quebec is at 15 and you are at 10. A seven attacking an 8 in that situation is bad math.
11 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2007: Hey fellas new Heartland
