21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Oz]:Actually not true, I would have stuck with the global team to the end.
21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Pacific-Russia]:I just didn't want to listen to the persistent micromanagement, misplaced grave seriousness, and snobby digs when players when they didn't play exactly how you wanted them to.

Besides, this plotline has more dynamism than other one's foregone conclusion. Reject the programming!
21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2008: [India]:This world will burn; of that I am certain.
21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2008: [Russia]:Sorry new Western Canada, good luck on your next game.
07 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Oz]:Team SOUTH has a permanent stalemate line now. Just vote draw after Quebec, Ghana and India are dead.

Brasil, South Africa and Oz can never be eliminated, we have a total southern stalemate line. Game over, draw.
07 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Quebec]:Wow, thanks team south for all that loyalty after I tied my wagon to your parade a few years ago.
07 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Oz]:sorry man... Get Kenya to help you...
07 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Ghana]:Somebody convoy me back south so I may survive!
07 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2012: [Pacific-Russia]:Torpedo the refugee boats!
08 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2012: [India]:It's okay Quebec, I still support you.
11 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Kenya]:Oz is a bitter, sad and lonely person.
11 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2013: [India]:This is such a weird phase
11 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2013: [India]:DANG IT
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Kenya]:Oz is a bitter, sad and lonely person.
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Kenya]:Sad, sad, sad, lonely Oz.
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Oz]:Does everyone else think that Kenya is a complete DICK for repeatedly making personal attacks?

I mean, he is a complete asshole, that's pretty clear.

It's pretty obvious that personal attacks and the clear sign of being a total DICKHEAD, right?

:)
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [South-Africa]:Come on guys, it's just a game
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Kenya]:Oh poor, poor little Oz. So far away in a little corner, shivering in fear.
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Kenya]:Northeast Atlantic is guarded like Fort Knox.
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [India]:I think before we finish we should attempt to get 7 support holds on it. We have 5... we can do it!
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Kenya]:The theoretical maximum is nine
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Kenya]:Nope, ten
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Kenya]:Wrong again, twelve. It borders twelve provinces.
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Kenya]:No, thirteen. Wow!
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [India]:Woah, I saw 9 but not 13
16 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2014: [Quebec]:I still don't.....NWA, Lab, Norwegian, North, Med, EAO, WAO as seas (7), Britain, France Spain, Morocco, Mauritania (5).....what else is there? I counted 12.
16 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2015: [Kenya]:algeria
16 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2015: [Kenya]:if you want to talk about impregnable defenses, look at mine. no one can enter africa now.
16 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2015: [Oz]:yet another totally false statement. Care to actually look at the map?
16 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2015: [Kenya]:show me where i am wrong
16 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2015: [South-Africa]:Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, EAO, WAO, NWA, Lab Sea, Nor Sea, GBr, North Sea, France, Spain, Med. I count 13.
17 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2015: [Quebec]:Got me....missed Algeria. Tricky coast there!
17 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2015: [South-Africa]:For sure
17 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2015: [Kenya]:I know Algeria and its importance with northeastern Atlantic
17 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2015: [India]:Again, before we go everyone should pitch in and give it a SH. Just for the sheer accomplishment. I can smell a draw coming soon anyway.
17 Sep 18 UTC [Pacific-Russia]:World peace now! Draw vote is in.
18 Sep 18 UTC [Russia]:*Flourishes* Peace to all corners of the world. From Asia to North America, the Russian army is satisfied.

For real though, I'm happy this approximately 4 month endeavor has reached it's crescendo.
18 Sep 18 UTC [India]:We did it! I thought I had the real usernames of the people of the world figured out, but I was wrong in some cases...

Well played to you all. This epic is now finished!
18 Sep 18 UTC [Quebec]:Well played folks. Have to say I'm surprised I made it to the final table, so a thanks to DealMerchant.
18 Sep 18 UTC [Russia]:Yeah I let him takeover all of the diplomacy when I started renovating my house. I knew if was going to loose that'd be why. Luckily my armegedon never came and we were able to trust eachother through the whole game.

Good game doesn't quite do it, you were all fantastic. Especially those I wanted to rain hellfire apon :)
18 Sep 18 UTC [India]:Yeah, jumping on the DealMerchant train, that guy is good.

Although I was a five-center minor in the Indian Ocean surrounding by massive powers, I feel I really shaped the game to the end. I remember sitting on the train looking at my phone, deliberating whether I should join this game... I even asked a friend who has had no prior experience with Diplomacy, and they said to go for it. When I joined, I was faced with a predicament - do I go with the duo of China and Oz or go with the then-solo of Pacific Russia, with a possible Russia as a partner. I think if I had not made the choice to go with PR, the world would have been completely different. I think that China would have expanded really well and Libya & I would have taken out Near East. Libya (possibly Ghana) would have been a fairly dominant power in North Africa and I think Kenya would have lived as a minor. Africa would have been more splintered - South Africa probably would've been lost to Kenya and Oz.
That's just a hypothetical, though. Point is, that stab by PR and reconciliation also really cemented Russia & PR as dominant powers. Got to applaud PR again though for overall honesty. Although you wanted to take me out at one point, otherwise you were really accountable.

Again, well played all and nice work South.
18 Sep 18 UTC [Kenya]:You talk too much India
18 Sep 18 UTC [Oz]:Capt Brad, always true to his widespread reputation as a first class asshole.
18 Sep 18 UTC [China]:I mean, cmon man. The autobiography thing is kinda played out
18 Sep 18 UTC [Oz]:And certainly not a real Captain with any sort of real rank at all, no way...
18 Sep 18 UTC [Oz]:so for anyone with a degree from Oxford: Congratulations. Anyone with a degree from Oxford who posts it on their webdip profile => obvious sign of obviously conceited asshole.

So a tourist is visiting Oxford and asks a student: Where is the restroom at? And the student replies... "Here at Oxford, we never end our sentences with prepositions." and the tourist replies: "excuse me, where is the restroom at, asshole?

You see, in the game, Capt Brad was the only one to resort to petty name calling and generally condescending comments. The rest of us were just playing a game, having fun and trying to win or draw..

Further proof of my intended point.
18 Sep 18 UTC [India]:Sorry, China. It sounded better in my head, but I'll admit it sounds self-righteous
18 Sep 18 UTC [China]:It’s alright asshole
18 Sep 18 UTC [Pacific-Russia]:I am the most magnanimous purveyor of deals alive!
18 Sep 18 UTC [Kenya]:Poor little Oz. So inadequate.
