03 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: Um, ah, what are the chances of getting a 3 day pause? I hate to ask as I know it was so hard to unpause last time, but I'm going away on Monday... (ducks for cover!)
03 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: I am okay with it. But would like to see this turn resolved prior to the pause.
03 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: I have no problem with a pause.
03 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: Let's pause
04 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: no problem with waiting for this turn to finish as i won't be going away until tomorrow. if everyone votes to unpause after the pause, i can unpause when i return and we can continue promptly.

thanks all.
08 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: We ready to get this unpaused? We've still got 2 days left on the build phase so plenty of time to figure things out once it is unpaused.
09 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: Ready here. Thanks Heaps all. Appreciate it.
13 Apr 10 UTC Spring, 1905: Damn you England ( * shakes fist * )!
13 Apr 10 UTC Spring, 1905: And I wanted to be your friend so badly and everything...
14 Apr 10 UTC Spring, 1905: Yeah, I really should have valued that a little more than I did...
19 Apr 10 UTC Spring, 1906: Dam you England, you nefarious loner!
19 Apr 10 UTC Spring, 1906: Why is everyone calling me names....
20 Apr 10 UTC Spring, 1906: Because you're trouble with a capital T!
20 Apr 10 UTC Spring, 1906: Yeah, what he said!
21 Apr 10 UTC Spring, 1906: Man, oh man.
21 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: We all love you though, so its not all bad :)
21 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: You're not going believe this, but I'm going away again on the weekend. It is possible I may have internet so, since I already asked for a pause a couple of weeks ago I'm going to leave it to the rest of you if you want to pause for the weekend or not. I won't ask for a mod to force the pause as I feel I've already inconvenienced things so far.

I'll leave it up to the rest of you if you want to pause.

Sorry. Can't be avoided. I'll try and log in when I can over the weekend.
21 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: If its just a weekend, then you might be able to do it just over two phases because the time is so long, do you know what I mean?
21 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Yeah, I should be able to... Going away Friday morning and getting back Monday night (long ANZAC weekend) but I may get a turn in at some point in-between if I can get into town and find some wireless, but it will be very minimal. Sorry.
21 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: I would much rather have it paused for longer than intended than have someone's moves missed. Missed moves mess up the game more than sitting idle.
21 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ill go with the pause and i agree with Alderian. I would rather have us all here and able that an NMR and an advantage gained. You have my pause vote.
21 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Tex, it would be better if you unpause for now and then just pause Thursday night/Friday morning. That way everyone else can get the pause in without slowing the game down more than necessary.
22 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Well I'm not sure if I'll get on tomorrow so I'll leave my pause vote in. Hope that's ok.

Sorry. Hectic week! Red Hat training! Arg!
22 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: TheMasterGamer can pause whenever he's ready.
22 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: But if I don't pause, I might survive. I could take advantage of missing orders. I could rule the world.

Do we want the pause before or after the present turns resolution?
22 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: I would prefer to see the present turn resolve before pausing. And if France doesn't have any retreats but someone else does, then we might not even need to pause it at all.
26 Apr 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Thanks all. Feel free to unpause when ready :)
05 May 10 UTC Spring, 1908: So, where do we stand? It looks to me like Italy is contained. For what it is worth, I've voted to draw.
06 May 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: A 6 way draw? Say it ain't so.
06 May 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Its okay if your a big boy with plenty of future :) Maybe a bit premature to draw but the stalemate is almost upon so unless someone changes course, it might have to be the way!
06 May 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Italy may change course and sail east (hint hint!)
06 May 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: If TMG votes for the draw, I will.
06 May 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: I think thats fair enough, there are still legs in this game yet....
06 May 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Well if we all stick together, I'm sure we can force TMG into a draw can't we?
10 May 10 UTC Spring, 1909: I believe Italy has been stopped
10 May 10 UTC Spring, 1909: But I can still bargain for your death. Muhaha
10 May 10 UTC Spring, 1909: :-))
10 May 10 UTC Spring, 1909: To what end? Why eliminate someone when it makes no difference to the outcome of the game? If they were an enemy, sure, but I'm not eliminating an ally just to get the big guy to hit the draw button when he has no where else to go.

Unfortunately for England it doesn't appear that Germany feels entirely the same way. Although England did drop the ball by not supporting EC to MAO this last turn.
11 May 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Yeah, he dropped the ball, that's enough for me!!
12 May 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: No surprises this turn.
14 May 10 UTC So what's your thought process on this game TMG? The Norwegian Sea bounce was planned by the way. And France can keep bouncing you in MAO while I bounce you in Armenia.
14 May 10 UTC Sending large sums of money to France, and lots of hula girls to Germany, and a Koran to Turkey to see if I can get them to turn on you.
15 May 10 UTC Gunna take a lot of lira! I don't think you can afford it!
15 May 10 UTC Seriously, as much as I hate to finalise this in a 5 way draw, I really don't see any way out. I'm certainly going to keep bouncing the MAO. Unless Italy and Russia can come to an agreement over Turkey (and that seems unlikely)!?
15 May 10 UTC If Italy didn't want Turkey in the draw, he shouldn't have stabbed me so early. :)

To be honest, I just don't see why there is this culture of getting rid of the little guys to "improve" the draw. Is it because we'll each get 20% of the dip points pot instead of 25%? Or 20% of the ghost ratings pot instead of 25%?

He's played an important role in stopping Italy and I don't see why I should cut him out. It won't change the ultimate outcome of the game. It'll still be a draw.
15 May 10 UTC Im thinking that it wont take much on the hula girl front, this could be the break in the game. Hula girls are my only vice!!
16 May 10 UTC Good game all. I must have sent some ugly hula girls.
16 May 10 UTC Yes, very exciting game. Thanks all.
16 May 10 UTC Those French and Russian dancing girls were just too good to pass up!
16 May 10 UTC Thanks all. Great game.
