20 Apr 18 UTC | Congratulations Spain. |
20 Apr 18 UTC | Well played, Spain, congrats. |
20 Apr 18 UTC | gg well held on there italy |
20 Apr 18 UTC | Thanks, the “beleaguered garrison rule” helped me out several times :) |
20 Apr 18 UTC | what rule is that? |
20 Apr 18 UTC | If a unit is attacked from two different sides with equal strength, the unit holds. That happened a few times in Austria and earlier also in Switzerland. In this case, the attack came from two enemy powers, but it’s also a useful tactic for your own units. |
20 Apr 18 UTC | For example, if you want to move a unit withou it risking of being displaced, you can order the move and at the same time support one of your other units into the region it comes from. You cannot dislodge your own unit (that’s another rule), but also protects against a supported attack from an opponent. |
20 Apr 18 UTC | oh yeah i use this alot just didn't know it had a name |
21 Apr 18 UTC | Survived. Gg |
21 Apr 18 UTC | Haha me too |
21 Apr 18 UTC | I’ve never done a game without talking, very challenging |
21 Apr 18 UTC | yeah it makes it harder to form alliance or force draws to stop one player soloing with co-ordination you could have taken austria but you can't communicate |
21 Apr 18 UTC | Without communication is very difficult to stop a player who has taken some advantage (NMR, best starting position,...) I will recommend playing with public chats, so you can pact a draw or comunicate global ideas to all players. |
21 Apr 18 UTC | we had no nmr's not sure ive ever had a game without one |
21 Apr 18 UTC | What is an NMR? |
21 Apr 18 UTC | no move reply or somethig like that when someone doesnt put a move in |
