27 Feb 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck and have fun, everyone! :)
27 Feb 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck!
27 Feb 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck!
27 Feb 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Hey Russia...
08 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1903: France is a common enemy of the peoples of Europe. They has lied and betrayed us, and their word. It is only a matter of time before the next Napoleon arises and this time, he will conquer Russia
08 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1903: lol, Russia and I are on good terms England and I haven't done anything to betray them
09 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1903: How long before the snake burrows in your cities?
12 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Russia, once you kill Austria come annex me, i have no chance of survival lol
12 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1905: That sounds like a trap
12 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1905: No im serious, after Austria dead i'll send ship to Aegean and tanks to Armenia and Syria
12 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1905: I have a counter-offer; leave me alone and focus on cleaning up Germany :p Turkey will probably be falling in a few turns anyway.
12 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Your a much easier target, besides if he kills you and me, a free 7 sc
12 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Eight actually :p a number which would allow Russia to win outright. Somehow I doubt France wants that......
12 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1905: That number would be insufficient for a solo victory, if I could even take those territories. Most likely outcome will be a 2-way draw over a central draw line, possibly more if other countries can cooperate
12 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1905: Yea, its unlikely that either Russia or I could reach 18 before the other moved to stop them
21 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1907: Russia might just get the solo before Ic an stop him. Sorry guys.
21 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1907: You make me sound like a bad guy :-( France has almost as many SCs as me, guys!
21 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1908: its all about the position though... you'll conquer Austria before I can finish Italy. And I'm not trying to make you sound like a bad guy
21 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1908: although you did just build a fleet in st pete
22 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1908: (I was just kidding, your statement was totally valid. And StP was just to park there, because if you'd moved NSea and Edi north you might have been able to harass me in the North, so I pre-empted that. I still don't intend to attack you.
24 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1908: So if russ annex all of ah, he wins?
24 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1908: And if France gets Italy and Austria, he wins. By the way, if I did win, it would be the most honest win possible, as I never lied to any of you, including France who I dealt with honestly (c.f. StP as promised), and I even told Austria and Italy generally what I was planning before doing so. France was also fair and honest, I'm just saying having the most SCs doesn't make you a bad guy!
24 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1908: Sarcasm "So honest to germany"
24 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1908: (I meant people still in the game ;-) sorry Germany)
24 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1908: All good, its the game
24 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1908: Well now I feel worse because you're being a good sport
29 Mar 18 UTC You have pretty much won the game now Germany, as you have the required 18 supply points :) so please leave my final three SP's intact so that I can end the game on the same number I started with!
29 Mar 18 UTC Did you mean Russia? And why 3 exactly? And why did you post this globally?
29 Mar 18 UTC I did mean Russia - slip of the metaphorical tongue - and as previously noted my aim for this game was merely to survive to the end; as you have enough SP's to win the game now and I started out with 3, it seems a nice number for me to finish on.

As for why I posted it globally, the game is pretty much over so I thought it only fair to openly request this small mercy and acknowledge a good game well played.
29 Mar 18 UTC Austria, to clarify, there is a series of moves that guarantee a win, and any deviation does not guarantee a win. For example, if I leave you the three Turkey countries, as you asked for previously, purely on the basis that the number of countries = 3, I may lose the game. Here's how:

I need 2 SCs. Venice is a lock. But Greece is not. The following set of moves loses me Greece:
ACon-Bul [disrupts support of Greece]
AAlb-Gre
FIon sup AAlb-Gre

In which case I'm stuck at 17 and might lose the game.

Conversely, if I take Ankara, you manage to survive the game, and I'm guaranteed victory, since you can't prevent the capture of Ankara. Mutually beneficial.

Does this clarify? I'm afraid I can't leave it to chance, since being locked at 17 might mean losing subsequently, so I have to also take Ankara as insurance. This doesn't seem that negative, since you still survive the game, although I guess if it causes you a lot of anxiety I could consider giving you back Greece and taking Venice and Ankara, I just don't really understand why that's necessary.... right?
29 Mar 18 UTC Fair enough :) my request for three SPs was just because it felt "neat" and isn't important.
29 Mar 18 UTC So Smyrna is fair game :)
30 Mar 18 UTC Good game, folks.
30 Mar 18 UTC good game guys, there was no way for me to stop that at the end.
30 Mar 18 UTC Hey, I kept to my word, I didn't attack France!
