18 Mar 18 UTC | Good game, all! |
19 Mar 18 UTC | Ha. Bull moose. I thought you were going to draw that one out (if you were less experienced player). I just caught whiff of the solo possibility in time to cover The ny/nj area. Ursa, on the contrary, I was very surprised you didn’t have a bigger attempt at the solo earlier. You backed off quite quickly. |
19 Mar 18 UTC | Good game everyone, my third time as Quebec (only power I’ve ever played in this variant) and always good success. NY getting into trouble but not from me gave me easy gains early. Thanks all |
19 Mar 18 UTC | I did an attempt at you yes, but you were on guard. I didn't want to be bogged down on two fronts or risk you overtaking me in the north. We are all around 20 dots, and soloing would require at least 10 more. That's a lot with both of you opposing me. |
19 Mar 18 UTC | I thought about going for a solo for a sec. I figured I basically had BC stalemated down Mexico way, so it was a question of whether I could beat you one on one, but you covered too quickly. Fun game. |
19 Mar 18 UTC | Same, but damn is it frustrating to play one of the center-map powers |
19 Mar 18 UTC | My limited experience. Quebec, BC and Florida or Peru (not both) are strong and rest are tougher. In general I find central powers need a three way alliance fighting outwards. Back to back. Not always easy in gunboat |
