Congrats Babyburger. Pwcycle, my turning on you was provoked not primarily by you taking Anchorage, which I expected because it was the only way forward for you, but by the movement of your fleet up the St. Lawrence. And then I didn't know how to stop it! :( I realized the danger of Cuba but I was worried that if I let you get a build it would be used against me. We worked very well together earlier too, unfortunate for it to fall apart.

Honestly, I was surprised by you turning on NY. NY went through many hoops to avoid getting into conflict with you. For example, he barely had any land units at all. He build mostly fleet, which are not able to really harm you.
I had hoped to spur NY on against you since you two were the main players at that time. I did this by blocking NY's path Southward in time such that his only way to progress is to engage you. I didn't expect him to be so loyal to you that he actually tried to sail all around the map to get to me. Very rare in an anonymous game like this. It made my heart sink for a bit and I thought I would lose for sure.
Then you betrayed NY and everything became a possibility again. I believe that you two would have dominated the game together, but too bad about that back stab. It was fortunate for me though. There were other factors that contributed to my success as well of course.

Well played Babyburger. Your support of Miami was well played. I really would have sailed all the way around and was hoping for a draw with Heartland, based on the "You're the Army, I'm the Navy" premise. The move down the St. Lawrence was only to get the Gulf. I knew I would have needed armies to take and hold there and was hoping to sail through. I was prepared to give Anchorage back, but then Heartland attacked, and I needed supply. It was a good game. Thanks all.
