01 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 1999: This is my first game in almost three years. Hopefully I still remember how to play lol
01 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 1999: Good luck. Cuba is a tough nation to play.
01 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 1999: GL HF
06 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2000: Completely unrelated question, but what happened to that giant global variant? I'm not talking about World Diplomacy IX. It was bigger than that.Or am I thinking of a different site?
06 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2000: Never mind, I found it. Different site.
09 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2001: Whats the site ?
09 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2001: Vdiplomacy.com ?

12 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: If they CD we should draw game and all make a profit. no point playing an unbalanced game IMO.
12 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: it will onky let me destroy units

19 Sep 17 UTC Nice playing with you Creedence, and thanks to new NY for pulling NY together. Well fought Michael and udvarid.
19 Sep 17 UTC Good game, I really like this variant, it is full of possibilities.

Thank you Omphalos we made a winning alliance. You're right, the SoS system speeds up the end game, and it also rewards stabs for no solo, i.e., if one of us pushed the sc count, this one could be favoured with a 60s to 70s score without soloing. Anyways it's surely better than the old ppsc system, where a soloist was rewarded almost the same as a 2-way draw; and if we played for draw size scoring we'd not be happy to a third each and then this variant would invite us for a 50-50 end, since the winning condition is well above the 50%+1 (34 of 58).

Thank you Mr. Thompson for joining and taking it seriously - you had freedom to chose otherwise. It was previous NY choice of no naval forces which allowed all this to happen... A noce choice may I say, or you could not be included as a third big guy...

Well done Michael B., I am happy to allow you a dignified survival. You fought well despite the instability of your ally.
19 Sep 17 UTC Twas a pleasure to lend a hand in the final few years. NY just had to commit. Not a clue what was on the originals mind
20 Sep 17 UTC GG. You all were great.
