30 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1994: hi! party on!
30 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1994: go to hell italy - this is war, not a party
31 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1994: But but ... it's not a war game. It's a diplomacy game! Even if the Brits disagree! yum, this zambuca is good. Anybody want some?
17 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1999: confused - britain and russia both voted draw but are fighting eachother ;-)
18 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2000: how's everybody doing? have to announce that i'm sorry France -- you've been a good diplomat but had to break out somewhere. Turk being too damn stubborn
19 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2000: @France - what did you mean when you said all the other countries are dumb for not working together to stop Italy? did you ever to stop to think that some people love Italy and want Italy as an ally?
22 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Italy, you deserve the victory.
France plays crap.
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Interesting comment -- France told me nobody would talk in this game to try and stop me. 'm surprised to be honest at lack of cohesion but Works for me though :-)
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Of course, I would prefer a draw, but if France attacks all possible allies, it is beter that Italy wins.
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Well England, when no one ever says a peep about attacking Italy until he has 27 SCs, what chance is there to stop him? Maybe some communication in the earlier game would have been more ideal :). Accept your defeat along with your incompetent communication.
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: French noob...
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Yeah Britain started talking to me just recently too saying how Italy needed to be stopped. After he sent all his fleets east to Russia and left his home undefended rather than south to Spain. He never wanted to stop Italy, he wanted other people to stop Italy for him.
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Yup. I already saw this coming the moment I took Germany over. Poland, you share equal blame though. You did nothing against Italy either. You are making the same mistake France did. In fact, Italy is still growing larger, and you thought it was a good idea to leave your borders unprotected to him.

If no-one wants to face Italy, then so be it. He gets one of the easiest win ever. His chat messages were so obvious that he was going to go for solo win, I have a hard time believing I'm the only one who saw ahead of time that the game would turn out like this.
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: poland writes me daily with ideas, requests, etc). He has made a good effort at diplomacy in this game ..
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Haha I share equal blame? I literally helped him out. I took over after the original player didn't submit turns for a full year and Germany/Ukraine/Russia had no problem taking advantage of the situation. I reached out to all three of you as well as Italy to work together so I could get back into the game.

Ukraine said he'd work with me then immediately moved into one of my points. Look how that turned out for him. Russia didn't respond at all. Germany stated they'd have a non aggression but wouldn't otherwise help me, then when I built a fleet decided to go all paranoid and ended the pact we had.

But guess who worked with me? Italy talked with me about strategy and talked about how he could best help me despite the fact he already had a pretty solid control over the map. So yes. Blame me for allying with the one person who actually played the game correctly rather than becoming just another defeated region like the rest of you who refused to work together.

Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine have been fighting each other since the start. France and England have been going back and forth in the English Channel seeding hostility. Germany refused to work with me, Italy, or France. Do you guys even know what game you're playing? How do you expect to win without making any alliances or strategy at all?
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Even if Italy screws me over in the end (which honestly there isn't a lot of point in doing with SOS scoring) I'm still fine with that. I didn't bet to get into this game. I took over for a dead country which was being picked apart and outlasted and helped defeat every last one of you who tried to take advantage and lie or ignore alliances. It's a win in my book.
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: German - not cool saying I have easiest game ever but doing nothing about it. Hypocritical ;-). I might consider a draw simply b/c poland impressed me with great diplomacy. France did too early on and i felt guilt hitting france but it was an opp i had to take. Egypy also has spoke. Sort of in game

Ger and eng - you havent done anything to try to talk with anyone / stop me so don't blame others ..
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: Poland - if you want to work with everyone and hit me i'd totally understand. Just a game and banding togther against a player possibly going for a solo is part of business. But i'm doubting you'd get much cohesion ;-)
23 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 2001: I haven't tried working with them since the day I took over for Poland because they all showed they had no interest in diplomacy. You've been a great ally since day 1 with communication and coordination which is why I've worked so hard to help you win over other players who felt like poor little NMR'd Poland was pointless to ally with and could just be easy pickings.
24 Aug 17 UTC Spring, 2002: any hard feelings / critiques / finger pointing aside (isn't diplomacy fun ;-)

Britain: impressed with your good play in your homeland... i tried for Ireland and you stumped me + also kicked me out of York. I think Ireland going to be tough to take as well as getting anything your homeland. Keep up good work - even if i find a way to crack you
