27 Jun 17 UTC	Autumn, 2001: Having gambled and lost three times I resolved to just act as a shield wall for British-Columbia and simply to submit whatever orders he wanted. To make things easier I turned over my account. There are those who may rightly see this as cheating. These same people may want to call the game because of this. There are some of you who may look at that and say, "Well, he was just going to submit those orders anyway. Suck it up and play on." I obviously leave that decision up to you all. In either case I think I'll be taking a long leave of absence from Diplomacy because, in my heart of hearts, I cannot bring myself to take it seriously enough to keep the competition at the level many of you would like to see. 20 Jul 17 UTC	Autumn, 2006: Those are the benefits of fleets. They can cross canals and rivers. If they couldn't, this map would be skewed totally toward someone with all armies. Maybe you should ally with someone who has 10 fleets instead of going against them...That would at least leave a clear division of assets.

20 Jul 17 UTC	Autumn, 2006: The map rules state there is a canal from NYC to NYS, so that one makes sense. In any other diplomacy map you couldn't make a move like that with a ship. The Mississippi River in this map does not restrict armies. I can go Missouri to Tenn and Ark to Deep South no problem. Ark's border is clearly overlapping Tenn's. Seems like they should connect.
