10 May 17 UTC Spring, 1901: France Again! AND my good friend is too my north! Hello Sir Jason!
10 May 17 UTC Spring, 1901: Ugh Turkey.
11 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: Pax Romana
11 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: Clint fiddled while Rome burned
11 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: Nero himself blamed the fire on an obscure new Jewish religious sect called the Christians, whom he indiscriminately and mercilessly crucified. During gladiator matches he would feed Christians to lions, and he often lit his garden parties with the burning carcasses of Christian human torches. Yet there is evidence that, in 64 A.D., many Roman Christians believed in prophecies predicting that Rome would soon be destroyed by fire. Perhaps the fire was set off by someone hoping to make the prediction come true.
11 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: Fake News
11 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: Reconstructions of the eruption and its effects vary considerably in the details but have the same overall features. The eruption lasted for two days. The morning of the first day, August 24, was perceived as normal by the only eyewitness to leave a surviving document, Pliny the Younger, who at that point was staying at Misenum, on the other side of the Bay of Naples about 30 kilometres (19 mi) from the volcano, which may have prevented him from noticing the early signs of the eruption. He was not to have any opportunity, during the next two days, to talk to people who had witnessed the eruption from Pompeii or Herculaneum (indeed he never mentions Pompeii in his letter), so he would not have noticed early, smaller fissures and releases of ash and smoke on the mountain, if such had occurred earlier in the morning. Around 1:00 P.M., Mount Vesuvius violently erupted, spewing up a high-altitude column from which ash and pumice began to fall, blanketing the area. Rescues and escapes occurred during this time. At some time in the night or early the next day, August 25, pyroclastic flows in the close vicinity of the volcano began. Lights seen on the mountain were interpreted as fires. People as far away as Misenum fled for their lives. The flows were rapid-moving, dense, and very hot, knocking down wholly or partly all structures in their path, incinerating or suffocating all population remaining there and altering the landscape, including the coastline. These were accompanied by additional light tremors and a mild tsunami in the Bay of Naples. By evening of the second day, the eruption was over, leaving only haze in the atmosphere through which the sun shone weakly.

Pliny the Younger wrote an account of the eruption:

Broad sheets of flame were lighting up many parts of Vesuvius; their light and brightness were the more vivid for the darkness of the night... it was daylight now elsewhere in the world, but there the darkness was darker and thicker than any night.
11 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: ou don't understand. Johnny Fontane never gets that movie. That part is perfect for him. It'll make him a big star. I'm gonna run him out of the movies. And let me tell you why. Johnny Fontane ruined one of Woltz International's most valuable proteges. For three years we had her under contract, singing lessons, dancing lessons, acting lessons. I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars. I was gonna make her a big star. And let me be even more frank, just to show you that I'm not a hard-hearted man, that it's not all dollars and cents. She was beautiful! She was young, she was innocent. She was the greatest piece of ass I've ever had, and I've had 'em all over the world. And then Johnny Fontaine comes along with his olive oil voice and guinea charm and she runs off. She threw it all away just to make me look ridiculous. And a man in my position can't afford to be made to look ridiculous. Now you get the hell out of here! And if that goomba tries any rough stuff, you tell him I ain't no bandleader. Yeah, I heard that story.
11 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it
11 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: I've still never seen the Godfather...
12 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1901: I bet you've seen those god awful Star Wars movies 100 times though
12 May 17 UTC Spring, 1902: Close your eyes. Feel it. The light…it’s always been there. It will guide you.
12 May 17 UTC Spring, 1902: You're better than that, Clint. The Star Wars series is an abomination.
14 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: Looks like Clint couldn't take the comments about Star Wars. He didn't move, he was so traumatized.
14 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: There must have been a Ben Affleck marathon on AMC
14 May 17 UTC Autumn, 1902: Maybe he was sobbing over the wonderful acting in Gigli.
14 May 17 UTC Spring, 1903: Damn it - Clint apologizes. Italy is now under new leadership!
15 May 17 UTC Spring, 1903: Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms
15 May 17 UTC Spring, 1903: Classic Poskozim.
15 May 17 UTC Spring, 1903: Low Energy Kaye and Lyin' Kura are talking forever to enter moves. Sad!
