24 Dec 16 UTC | Spring, 6: Carthago delenda est |
27 Dec 16 UTC | Spring, 7: What does delenda mean? |
28 Dec 16 UTC | Spring, 7: in this usage, it means destroy. "Carthage must be destroyed", loosely. Cato the Elder said it a lot during the Punic Wars. |
30 Dec 16 UTC | Autumn, 7: Looks more like we need Roma delenda est. |
30 Dec 16 UTC | Autumn, 7: Hey Mna Cabnhoba, how about if you exit Damascus and I send my fleets across the Med to help with Rome? |
01 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 7: Hello guys. New Rome. |
01 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 7: Hello guys. New Rome. |
01 Jan 17 UTC | Spring, 8: Hey GREECE! Can you hear me? |
01 Jan 17 UTC | Spring, 8: Greece: as far as I am concerned, I suggest a 2-way draw. Next turn, you can get Macedonia and Sparta back and conquer Sidon whereas I lose Macedonia. Following turns even more... I think it will even be hard for Roma to follow your rythm... |
02 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: Sorry everyone for missing a day. Rome if you're interested in a 2-way draw I suggest you stay out of Chersonesus so I can focus on Persia and eventually Carthage |
02 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: What would be your 17 territories ? |
03 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: Really Greece? You are going to fall for that? CptMike is going for a solo, our only chance is to stop our bickering to stop him. |
03 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: Hey, other players, a public messaging only game where you are unwilling to talk to players that are trying to talk to you is very unsportsmanlike. Anyone that would like to talk to me, I'm here, and I don't ever miss my damn moves. |
03 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: My 17 would be my home cities (including Macedonia), those I currently occupy, and those currently occupied by Persia. Your 17 would be your current cities plus Carthage's, minus Sparta of course. But to earn my trust that army in Dacia must move to Illyria, and the army in Dalmatia must not move further east. This is non-negotiable and you have only this next turn to do so. |
03 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: Hey, sorry Deinodon. I'm seeing if Rome is serious about an alliance b/c it would take a long time to finish the game otherwise. It still will either way. And even if you & I allied, we can't tell what Carthage is planning as they haven't said a single word. |
03 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: This is my first public-messaging game, not really sure if I like it. It was so quiet in the early rounds. |
03 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: Thank you for responding, I appreciate it. |
03 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: Hi Greece. I am at 12. Minus Macedonia (logical) it gives 11: +3 of Carthage : 14 + Numidia and Leptis : 16 Cyrene is much closer to you than to me and I am not sure to reach this. I fear that if I agree with this option you would make a solo. My proposal is that exchange Chersonesus (for me) and Cyrene (for you). Dear Persia. Sorry I didn't talk to you but we are "far away" and I don't have much to tell to you. I think that if you reach Cyrene and hold it, you could get a 3-way draw. Dear Carthage. Nothing personnal of course. I just took the situation as it was. Good luck :-) |

03 Jan 17 UTC | Autumn, 8: Thank you, Rome. I understand out far awayness. And I shall hope I can obtain Cyrene so that we might obtain a three way. Greece, I strongly suggest you do not let Rome take Chersonesus. He will be in your tender underbelly, and Sinope would soon be his as well. Work with me, we can stop him together! |
