06 Nov 16 UTC Kaki! That's the best Egyptian defense I have ever seen! Congratulations!
06 Nov 16 UTC Sorry everyone. But Rome's departure only speeded up the game. I had him beat when I took Neapoli and Sardinia.
06 Nov 16 UTC Thanks, but as soon as you saw that Rome was in Civil Disorder you should have immediately, like every other of us, voted for cancel or draw. Well played, but not the gentlemens way. To be honest, I'm a bit angry because of that.
06 Nov 16 UTC Thank you all for that tough game. It was my second time playing Carthage and fourth time overall.
06 Nov 16 UTC Yes, however, the rapid speed of Rome's fall meant I had to divert forces to my westward defence far sooner than I would have otherwise needed.

Not really angry though because this happens in games.
06 Nov 16 UTC Congratulations to Egypt for a incredible defense.
06 Nov 16 UTC Kaki, I told you. When he lost those two SC's it was over. I knew that I would take another one or two long before you could mount a counterattack. His leaving had only the benefit of accellerating the inevitable.
06 Nov 16 UTC You played a great defense, especially since you clobbered Persia while attempting to get me. You should have pressed one or more of your fleets at me, however. Next time think more Naval in your strategy.
06 Nov 16 UTC BTW, there are no 'Gentlemen' in this game ;)
06 Nov 16 UTC I was the only one to escape the wrath of Carthage, yey!
06 Nov 16 UTC Well, it was my fist game on this map. I wish I didn't miss the first turn (I was writing a message in another game, and the notify didn't reach me. My bad, that could've changed the game too.)

Yeah, maybe it happens in games, but nonetheless it made me a bit angry. Maybe Rome had fallen anyway, but not as fast and then we could make our defense better. Also that support hold in Venice ... on the one hand it was infuriating to see everytime, on the other hand it was a clever move. *sighs*
06 Nov 16 UTC Oh, I think there is 'gentlemen' in this game, somewhere it is hiding *laughs*

And I wanted to go naval, problem was, how to do that with an overwhelming force in your enemy. Could've worked if our Persia just let me have Jerusalem and I could focus to the west, but well, I think everyone wants something (and everytime there is MOAR).
06 Nov 16 UTC You took Neapoli and Sardinia after I left, you fucking retard. You "won" because Egypt rolled over and gave you an extra 3 sc's in the first two rounds. Grats on rolling Carthage every game on an unbalanced map.
06 Nov 16 UTC Salty
06 Nov 16 UTC but true
06 Nov 16 UTC I get salty when people try to rewrite history like they did something worth kudos. You got handed a unit advantage when already in the most geographically advantageous spot on the map, and then were left unpressured to pour all of your resources against one enemy while that enemy (like everyone else on the map) had to handle multiple enemies. So no, you don't get a fucking pat on the back.
06 Nov 16 UTC Not quite. He would've gotten the 3 supply centers nonetheless in the first two rounds (year 1). My missing the spring year 1 made it easier for him, that's true, but your statement is flawed.
06 Nov 16 UTC I'm not looking for a pat on the back. why you left is your affair. as to the fall of those two SC's I had a four to three advantage in naval forces to commit. your forces were split and aligned for defense as mine were for offense. No my friend, Rome, you were doomed from the opening move.
06 Nov 16 UTC Egypt, although absent, was not my focus anyway. That Egypt came back is testament to his playing ability. No my friend Rome, sour grapes is a story told by grecians, and copied by romans.
06 Nov 16 UTC You didn't just miss around, Egypt, your opening gambit was muddled and just generally piss-poor. And again, CAPT, you try to rewrite shit. Enjoy your hollow victories.
