02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Waiting on heartland lol |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Yup. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Patience. It takes time to conquer America. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: I guess so. Is it just me or I can't see the check mark by BC? It's just not there, nothing is there. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: BC didn't have any builds to make, unfortunately. Not a great opening year. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Oh that makes more sense. GL to both BC and California as they continue fighting. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: BC was an idiot and messed up his orders . . . |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: You know what I always thought made sense on this map but never saw? BC moving into Greenland while Cali and BC are an alliance. That way, BC was focused on the north and move around the map onto the other side while California focuses exclusively on the south and move east at the same time. Of course, just my observations from games that I've seen before played on this map. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Wait a second... Did BC call himself an idiot? :P |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: It's also easier and more fun to have a global chat on a big map because people actually talk to each other for real, not getting ready for backstabbing or whatever they have in mind. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Good point...also isn't it a little unfair that Texas is guaranteed 3 builds in the first year while others are only guaranteed 1 or 2? |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Well, I mean, in classic and modern Russia begins with one more supply. On top of that, Texas's starting position is not that great, at most being two territories separated on all sides. In the case of Mexico and the Heartland, separated only by one, and the distance quickly shrinks once Texas has gotten those 3 guaranteed builds. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: I think the original BC dropped out, and the new one called him an idiot |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: No, the original BC is here (it's me) and he (I) called himself (myself) an idiot because, let's face it, he (I) screwed up the moves and cost himself (myself) an early build. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Oh. Ok. |
02 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 1999: Saria/Texas is right when she talks about that. Texas is surrounded by four other powers so if the country doesn't get along with at least 2 others, Texas is screwed. But Texas is in a good position to expand from that point on, provided that the country works it out with its neighbors. You could've supported yourself into Washington lol BC |
03 Nov 16 UTC | Spring, 2000: I was on the phone and simply screwed it up: Idaho was supposed to go to WASH with VAN supporting. |
03 Nov 16 UTC | Spring, 2000: Oh haha. |
03 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 2000: If you have deals with Heartland, rip them up: he just broke our DMZ agreement. |
04 Nov 16 UTC | Autumn, 2000: I'd just like to advise caution seeing as Peru and Cuba have allied, which is quite a strong alliance in this variant. Not advising everyone bumrush them, but keep an eye on the southeast. |
