29 Oct 16 UTC Thanks for the game - I don't see how I can get the extra 4 SCs needed for the win.
29 Oct 16 UTC gg
29 Oct 16 UTC thanks for the game. finally everyone had voted draw.
29 Oct 16 UTC I was thinking about waiting for France to die before voting draw, but I wanted to show Russia my intentions. I was worried I waited too long to turn to the West. Thank you France for keeping us all in the game!
GG everyone.
29 Oct 16 UTC GG everybody, although I never understood a single thing that occurred on my side of the board. England, I thought you wanted to go after France? Russia, I supported you into Sweden and was trying to support hold you there to stick it to England. You lost all of Scandinavia and St Pete. France - ??? My own game was ruined, but you were in perfect position to move to Irish Sea, English Channel, Belgium, Holland...you could have really crippled England BADLY. Instead - you were all, "I'll let England outnumber me 2-1 and hope he doesn't attack me even though I'm his only target left now." lol.
29 Oct 16 UTC It's all good, though.
29 Oct 16 UTC France - It's a good thing I don't really care about points. Otherwise I would have dragged this game out and eliminated you. As it is I saw now clear way to get the required SCs to solo and drew the game to save time.
29 Oct 16 UTC @Germany - I think the fear was an emergent Russia. Plus I kept on sending love holds to France for most of the game.
29 Oct 16 UTC Ugh!
29 Oct 16 UTC I'd have had Burgundy support hold Munich just on the off-chance France wouldn't tap Burgundy. It doesn't ensure the hold of Munich but it seemed like it would work - and, as it turned out, it would have. I guess that still leaves England one SC short though.
29 Oct 16 UTC lol, England...but I sent all my armies into France and built no fleets. That didn't seem to help! :-)
29 Oct 16 UTC Sorry Turkey. You attacked me and forced me to build a fleet south, then started being friendly suddenly. Unfortunately, with two southern fleet, I can't do any thing but attack Turkey.
29 Oct 16 UTC Well, I thought about that 2 or 3 times when I had an opportunity to do go for british occupied centers. Honestly I so wanted to go into them because at the beginning I was under your and english pressure. But after I had a look at the board I saw the russian progress and judged at the time (maybe a mistake) that russia was a bigger threat to solo the game when I go after england and weaken them. That was my thought process.
29 Oct 16 UTC Once all of Scandinavia, and especially Russia's northern fleet was gone, though...France really should have taken 2 SCs off of you. Just for survival chances.
29 Oct 16 UTC red you lost munich and vienna
29 Oct 16 UTC I did open with a fleet into English Channel. But only because in my experience I continually get shafted by France sending a fleet there first!
29 Oct 16 UTC I don't see you in Munich, Captain! lol
29 Oct 16 UTC I see, England. Bummer. I tried supporting you twice into Belgium, too.
29 Oct 16 UTC Turkey three out of the last four? how is this random assignment. how many times have you had germany red?
29 Oct 16 UTC I missed that - rookie error. I don't usually play live games, but had a few cold beers and a bit of time, and thought why the fuck not? In a normally paced game I would be checking the large map for undisplayed supports for sure!
29 Oct 16 UTC Spring of 04 is when France should have stabbed. would have nicked 2 home supply centers. After that, it became pretty much impossible to stab successfully.
29 Oct 16 UTC It feels like two-thirds of my games have been with Germany or Austria. No joke.
29 Oct 16 UTC yeah germany, but at that point a bit of my personality broke through and kinda wanted england on my side, stupid of me to trust anything than myself, isn't it?
29 Oct 16 UTC I think it's been a very long while since I've played on the vanilla version of the Diplomacy map. And even then I played Fog of War on it.
29 Oct 16 UTC (but France I WAS on your side for quite a while...)
29 Oct 16 UTC France, understood, but you also have to look at what makes sense for the other guy. You sent two of your six units east....WAY east...England has like 100 units and no place to go except - in your direction.
29 Oct 16 UTC I have to say I was expecting France to go for Italy. In that scenario I was thinking along the lines of a 50/50 split.
29 Oct 16 UTC btw/ the last game on the vanilla map was finished on the 21st June 2015. It was a special rules game where you had to translate you messages to other players through several different languages. Lots of fun :)

29 Oct 16 UTC I thought France would kill me too. Why didn't you kill me France?
29 Oct 16 UTC I was in "try to prevent russia to solo" mode at the time, also it didn't seem fair to Italy to go into there (yeah I know, I should really leave honour behind if i play more of diplomacy), so I tried to tickle russia in the south.
