12 Aug 16 UTC	Autumn, 1998: Congratulations on France for his new two centers. It is quite a price indeed, even more if you think that it was thanks to Germany that you get them. Such lucky to have two selfless neighbors which dont mind giving up the points they could have earned.
14 Aug 16 UTC	Spring, 1999: Well, is everyone against Britain it seems. Are my lands so hot despite being few in numbers?. Let's see who disappear Britain first, is a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll. This is no longer diplomacy, this is who gets Britain first it seems. Well France had been getting some points, Britains points, the only valuable points it seems. The hard part is who is going to get the important part, the north-east. Germany had invested more than anyone else and had achieved no points, so the biggest loser so far. What you should do is to ask the others to give their support to you, that is how it works.
14 Aug 16 UTC	Spring, 1999: Spain is in second place since he will likely get Liverpool, so congratulation on your first point where it matters. Turkey had just enter the race, but he gets the third place on this race, because nothing is more loser than invest five fleets and accomplish nothing. So Turkey is far ahead than Germany on this. Also unlike Germany which will still face resistance, Turkey had the open space of the east to make his thing.
14 Aug 16 UTC	Spring, 1999: So do not despair all of you, you all may get a chance to have a British center, you just have to be smarter, and is not about numbers or distance, as Germany had proven, is all about luck. So throw the dice and let's see who gets Britain first, forget diplomacy (as you had been doing), this is much more fun.

16 Aug 16 UTC	Autumn, 1999: Not really. I needed to take risks to grow, but they decided to stab me. Had I been more defensive they would've stabbed me anyway--actually probably sooner due to paranoia caused by me being defensive. And my early growth was stunted due to an obstinate Italy and a ridiculously silent Egypt. By the time I got Tunisia, France already had all of Italy. I'm going to start a draw vote, and I suggest you guys take it. Based on some things I've heard, your "perfect alliances" may not be so great after all.
17 Aug 16 UTC	Autumn, 1999: France was so defenseless at some point, and you didn't take your chance. There were no risks for you, i was not even going to attack you, Turkey was still busy. And France was bordering with Germany. You had all France for you. But you thought ... wait, you didn't thought at all.

17 Aug 16 UTC	Autumn, 1999: Also on other news, the most invested empire at the "get britain contest" had just returned to zero british centers once again. 6 invested fleet for nothing. Not a good deal for the germans if you ask, specially considering how france obtained three already with half the fleets of Germany. Very impressive for France, he will likely win since he is already gaining more centers at Spain expenses. Well done you all.
17 Aug 16 UTC	Autumn, 1999: Thanks for the breakdown, Britain. I'm not going to thank Spain, as his comments were both self-reflective and tactical, attempting to sew disinformation and panic while being gracious nonetheless. :-)
18 Aug 16 UTC	Autumn, 1999: All, I will be leaving town early Sunday morning and returning Thursday late. I'll be on a cruise and expect no network while on the cruise. It is possible that I'll have network at each port, and keep up with games, but I would be more comfortable with a pause. I'll vote pause now. Would you guys accommodate me and do the same? The last person can hold until Saturday to pause.
