05 Aug 16 UTC | It is ok Persia, I knew you would win anyways, although I am slightly upset that you decided to go opportunistic. The problem with this game was that, I knew I lost right after the first phase. I was sandwiched between two experienced players, and their only other neighbors were both really bad. Egypt made it so easy for Persia to get huge early advantage. I am hundred percent certain that I can win a game against you if this was more of a symmetric match. |
05 Aug 16 UTC | Rome, your mistake was that, in the beginning you probably only talked to me and Carthage; but I talked to every single player on the board. I convinced Egypt and Carthage to stop fighting each other, I taught egypt how to fend off early persian attacks and slow him down, and taught carthage how to be more systematic when playing against you. |
05 Aug 16 UTC | And my only mistake was that, I shouldn't have double crossed Carthage. I was really mad when he decided to do demagoguery on me by not letting me take neapolis after I helped him against Rome. But still I am happy with how things ended, because it was very close to how I predicted it right from the beginning. |
05 Aug 16 UTC | Sorry mate this game just kept dragging on and on... But all in all guys it was a good game well played by all of you |
05 Aug 16 UTC | Hehe, dragging on and on; you dont often see a game that ends in only 7 years. I am still proud of that ultimatum that i sent which kept you at bay for some time. Cheers |
05 Aug 16 UTC | I actually did talk to almost everyone. My mistake was taking the wrong alliances. |
05 Aug 16 UTC | I guess, the alliance you had in mind was between egypt you and me, is that right? I would be totally on board with that if egypt didnt give too much land to persia right from the beginning. |
05 Aug 16 UTC | Yeah. That was my general plan. |
