23 Jun 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: oh nice no chance to get any SC's in next time
24 Jun 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: Whaaaaaaat??? niceeeee
05 Jul 16 UTC Spring, 1905: Hello All, after getting acquanted with my staff, I would like to meet with all of you. Looking forward to a fun game. Regards, Sultan Farooq
06 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: In my opinion an error has occurred in the software.
In the TAB orders/ On the big map all can verify what my orders were.
Both Con and Ank were to move to Smy, the fleet in the Black Sea was to support Con holding. The 'bounce should result in having Con stay in that provence, thus the move of Bul supported by Aeg to Con was met by Con hold supported by Black Sea. In other words 2 vs 2 and NOT as it has been indicated as Austria actually going into Con !
Please reply.
06 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: A unit that is being ordered to move cannot be supported to hold.
06 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Hope this helps
07 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: In the 'rules on this site' is says: "If the number of support moves are greater than the number of support holds the move will succeed, otherwise it will fail." In the case at hand it is 1 support VS 1 support.
Also in the 'rules on this site' is says: "; if a unit is being attacked it has to defend itself by holding, and can't support another unit." So, my order to Con is (albite indirectly, but planned) "hold".
Ergo, the results shown on the board are not according to the 'rules of this site" !
07 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: As such I am requesting that we PAUSE this game and have the WebMaster look into this matter. Will all press that TAB, please, and affirm that on this 'Global' chat ?
07 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: A unit that is under attack can't support another unit... but your order was not a "support" order it was a "move" order
07 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: RMN, put on your spectacles and READ my writing!
07 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Well, I would like to point out that every rule there is referencing support orders, and NOT move orders. You are free to move away from being attacked whenever you want to. Say Ankara wasn't going to bounce you, you can still move to Smyrna regardless of the fact that you're being attacked.
07 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: RMN, especially for you: "if a unit is being attacked it has to defend itself by holding."
07 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: I hope you accomplish something with your report then.
07 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: It would seem that it is impossible to convince you otherwise.
07 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: As of yet no reply from the moderators.
09 Jul 16 UTC Spring, 1906: In another game I found the same situation. Moderators are not the fasted workers; but then changing code is a bit tedious !
09 Jul 16 UTC Spring, 1906: I am convinced now, having read the manual over. The words you used RMN were not to be grasped by me. Other phrasing helped me out. I was wrong.
In order for a unit to be supported to hold from another unit, among other things, that unit must have been ordered to hold, convoy or support-holding a unit. Apparantly not a move.
09 Jul 16 UTC Spring, 1906: PS learn something every day, huh ?
09 Jul 16 UTC Spring, 1906: As long as everything's straight now :D
13 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1907: Thanks for having me in your midst. Until a next game I greet everyone.
17 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: 3 way draw?
17 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1908: I approve of the draw
27 Jul 16 UTC Spring, 1912: 3 way draw Austria - England - Britain?
27 Jul 16 UTC Spring, 1912: Germany* LOL
31 Jul 16 UTC Autumn, 1912: new Austria.
31 Jul 16 UTC Spring, 1913: are we drawing? just three of us.
31 Jul 16 UTC Guess not.
31 Jul 16 UTC nope
01 Aug 16 UTC Yeah. The game looked too promising for a quick join and get paid.
