Private WWI team game
1 day /phase
Pot: 70 D - Autumn, 1902, Finished
Classic, Sum-of-Squares Scoring
1 excused missed turn
Game drawn
13 Jun 16 UTC Id be up for a cancel and then we can start a new one if everyone is up for it. Maybe ask the mods for the same teams, just find a new England
13 Jun 16 UTC That's good with me
13 Jun 16 UTC Why not draw? A cancel shows as a "resign" on your profile, which in my opinion, is extremely ugly. I would rather lose 2 points than have a resign on my profile.
13 Jun 16 UTC Does it? I think I cancelled a game before and I didnt get a resign. I put up my draw vote anyways.
14 Jun 16 UTC Oh, ok then. So then how do resigns work?
14 Jun 16 UTC I don't think a cancelled game counts against you either
14 Jun 16 UTC Not sure exactly. Probably if you have to leave a game before it finishes and the mods have to find a replacement for you.
14 Jun 16 UTC I'd rather draw than cancel tbh
14 Jun 16 UTC Im more for the cancel although it doesnt really make a difference in the end. In the spirit of the game we should let Italy decide
14 Jun 16 UTC Haha I'd draw for the free 7 points, but I don't really care.

Perfectly content to cancel or draw. I'd just like to get a game up and running again.
14 Jun 16 UTC I voted all three, so whoever gets there first decides: Russia with the draw vote or Turkey/Austria with the cancel vote.
14 Jun 16 UTC Haha, how diplomatic ;)
14 Jun 16 UTC New England here. Is this game being cancelled?
14 Jun 16 UTC drawn or cancelled or both
14 Jun 16 UTC Now that we have a new england player i dont see any reason why we shouldnt continue.
14 Jun 16 UTC I agree with italy. Im voting for all three so whoever gets there first decides. My personal preference is to continue. I dont think the game has been disrupted that much.
14 Jun 16 UTC Welcome aboard new England!
14 Jun 16 UTC Thanks, excited to play. Old England seems like he didn't communicate much
14 Jun 16 UTC Ready to continue.
14 Jun 16 UTC Poor Germany and Austria. I will send figs for your people, and it seems that the Brits have finally stopped Stalin and started Russian.
15 Jun 16 UTC Unpause is up. Why poor Germany and Austria?
15 Jun 16 UTC I dunno. Missing that build and the move afterwards hurts a lot. I wouldn't say insurmountable but it definitely affected my decisions. I wouldn't be opposed to starting a game with 7 committed countries since we're barely into this one.
15 Jun 16 UTC That said, I'm happy to continue if everyone else wants to
15 Jun 16 UTC Yeah missing that build is going to hurt. Hopefully it works out. If the decision to make another game is made instead I would be more than happy to join.

That being said, I will assume that due to everyone's unpause that we will continue with this game which should be fine. Up to you guys
15 Jun 16 UTC Let's just draw and start a new one so it is a level playing field?
15 Jun 16 UTC Good with that
15 Jun 16 UTC Turkey?
15 Jun 16 UTC Will do.
15 Jun 16 UTC Done. Who would like to make the new game?
15 Jun 16 UTC I'm up for joining it, send me the link and password if/when whoever sets it up does so. I like preset team games as it means my average of being backstabbed twice a game doesn't happen lol
15 Jun 16 UTC I'm up for joining it, send me the link and password if/when whoever sets it up does so. I like preset team games as it means my average of being backstabbed twice a game doesn't happen lol
15 Jun 16 UTC Sorry about the repeat...
15 Jun 16 UTC I'd like to join as well
15 Jun 16 UTC Im happy to hand it over to someone else
15 Jun 16 UTC I hope I don't get given Russia next time lol
15 Jun 16 UTC is someone making the new game?
15 Jun 16 UTC I'll do it. Name's "WWI Team Game Just Stay" password's "pinetreeland".
15 Jun 16 UTC Thanks, lookin forward to it :)
15 Jun 16 UTC Seems I forgot to add the password, I think it will be fine though, or should I cancel it?
15 Jun 16 UTC Can you put the link for the game here?
15 Jun 16 UTC gameID=180272
16 Jun 16 UTC The game had some unexpected new strategy to it. You have to be careful not to get boxed in by your own allies and have your progress blocked. If you are sneaky you can even do it deliberately to your own team members to get to supply centres before them knowing that they wont be able to take them off you once you gey them. I like it. It adds a whole new level of tsctics.
16 Jun 16 UTC Are we just going to let it randomize us again? I'm perfectly content either way.
16 Jun 16 UTC Same
16 Jun 16 UTC Yea go random, more interesting that way :), but I'm happy either way
16 Jun 16 UTC We can't predefine countries anyways, its all up to the mods.
16 Jun 16 UTC Oh cool, I thought you could message them? But I prefer random anyhow
16 Jun 16 UTC I guess we could have a forum and then the mods might notice, but that's it.
16 Jun 16 UTC Oh, well I'm happy anyway, I like randomness
16 Jun 16 UTC Chaos for the win
