27 Jul 16 UTC [Libya]:Hey everybody. Thanks for a good and challenging game. All the surviving players played an exceptional game. Each played with great skill and strategy. This was my first World Diplomacy game and I enjoyed playing it after getting used to the changes in strategy. It is quite challenging.

Thank you to all those who joined the game late and took on countries in civil disorder. We all appreciate you joining.

I hope to meet you talented players in some other games in the near future.
27 Jul 16 UTC [Oz]:Argentina was 1st, but not by much, but because he was first everyone was fighting him. Russia was fighting Libya and underestimated China who soon grew off of him... Quebec appeared to be slowly losing but he took back Mexico and started taking Argentina's home SCs and everything else went downhill from there...
27 Jul 16 UTC [Western-Canada]:Wow, this was a long game. Seems it was forever ago, but this was the most thrilling Battle of North America I've ever taken part in, with constantly shifting borders and momentum, until Quebec finally tipped the scales, securing the continent. Was an absolute pleasure to be a part of. Cheers!
27 Jul 16 UTC [China]:This was my first Global Dip game. Gunboat seems like the way in this variant. Good game to all!
27 Jul 16 UTC [Argentina]:Yes good game.

I was strong very early. Then I should have concentrated on Libya or Quebec instead of trying to fight both of them. You played very well guys!

In the end I'm lucky having survived.
27 Jul 16 UTC [Libya]:This game could have gone on for a loooonnnngggg time. All the surviving members are worthy to be called winners of this game. I'm glad to have Drawn the game but wonder how it would have turned out.
27 Jul 16 UTC [Quebec]:Yes thanks for a good long game. Well played everyone! I will be back with more shortly.
28 Jul 16 UTC [Quebec]:I had lots of fun killing 2 Argentinian armies and 2 Argentinian fleets on North American soil and waters from autumn 2008 to autumn 2011. This enabled me to take control over North America.

28 Jul 16 UTC [Quebec]:I was very happy to be able to land and army in Queensland in the last move. That would sort of guarantee control over Australia.
28 Jul 16 UTC [Argentina]:Quebec, I'm pretty sure you would have destroyed me in the lang run.
Russia, just out of curiosity: I was hoping all the time you would attack Quebec and or Libya, but that scarsely never happened, although Quebec was wide open. What were your thoughts?
28 Jul 16 UTC [Oz]:You have to ask the Russia that was commanding 2 CDs ago...
28 Jul 16 UTC [Quebec]:@Argentina : As only the last Russian leader is present I think I can answer your question to Russia.

First Quebec was never "wide open". I made sure to have units in Labrador and Beaufort sea. Only exception was autumn moves when both I and Russia saw that I had builds coming up.

Secondly Russia was most of the time busy fighting Libya and then Russia do not want to open up a second front. Also China was a problem for Russia. Russia also saw that I was fully occupied fighting Argentina, so both I and Russia were interested of not fighting each other.

I am also sure that Russia understood why I took Alaska since it was obvious that I needed  access to the Pacific sea in order to fight you Argentina.
