PS: Austria likes to break alliances.
27 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: Sorry it took so long to pause. I was driving and hadn't had a chance to get online for a couple of days. Happy Easter!
28 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: Happy easter!

Whoa, the passive aggressive public dis. Actually, good idea to keep away public disses.
29 Mar 16 UTC Autumn, 1901: Ok, back in the game. As far as I'm concerned we can unpasteurized the game. Thanks guys!

20 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: That was a total bummer
21 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: It happens.
22 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: England! Why?!
22 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Maybe he got lost during another backcountry backpacking trip? Or he might have celebrated too much last week?
It will be very sad for him seeing that he lost his home country... :'(
22 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: And finally Russia can't complain anything about being pushed around ;-)
22 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: *anymore
22 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: England never pushed me around. Only my "allies".
22 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Oh! You're welcome !
22 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Table talk guys. Stop it.
22 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: In the words of the future President of the United States: "he started it."

25 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: We can win the race

You have a dream you win tonight
Take the chance, Take the chance
God is on your side
We pray for you you're like a hurricane
You can win, you can win, you can win the game
Tray
You want to win a girl
There's a million fans around
Our dream is free,
We want the victory
The hero's back in town

Oh come on we, we can win the race
25 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: Looks like Alfred's remaining piece will go into COD. Shame. I name most of my games after him.
25 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 1905: So long Alfred.

Whoever you are.
28 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1906: England, where are you?
Yellow does cover the land.
We are all finished.
28 Apr 16 UTC Spring, 1906: Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
Yeah, they were all yellow.

I came along,
I wrote a song for you,
And all the things you do,
And it was called "Yellow".

So then I took my turn,
Oh what a thing to have done,
And it was all yellow. ~Coldplay

Soon it will be yellow from Mother Russia down to Desserts of northern Africa...
Goodbye purple... Goodbye green!!!
01 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Sorry guys, had a rough week... Company laid a ton of people off... Several friends and coworkers... But I survived...
01 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Sorry guys, had a rough week... Company laid a ton of people off... Several friends and coworkers... But I survived...
01 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Sorry to hear, not fun.

Similar things happening where I work. 2/3 of the company was bought by new owners a couple weeks ago.

Some people got new computers and some were handed their notice.
01 May 16 UTC Autumn, 1906: Sorry to hear it Peter. I'm glad you survived. Here's hoping for growth.
02 May 16 UTC Spring, 1907: Even though I'm out, I'm glad I played.

I tried to play a clean game without breaking any alliances. I also learned a lot about the ins-and-outs of the game.

If my allies hadn't missed a couple rounds, I'm sure this would have played out differently, but such is life and this in just a game.

Thanks everyone for the experience!
02 May 16 UTC Spring, 1907: It was great to have you. I have no idea who you are, or if/how I know you. But I must. Anyway, I will set up another game in a matter of days of this one finishing, again on the same map, just so that we rusties can get the swing of things.

Keep in mind: no one doesn't break alliances in this game. The idea is to break them and take umbrage in the process. Sometimes mistakes are made, and they are unfortunate. I made three (that I know of), all movement errors, and one read error. Those things happen.

Diplomacy is a game where backstabbing is encouraged. But the etiquette of it, and how to approach enemies and friends alike - that takes time, effort, and a lot of study. I've played since I was 12 and still have no idea about that one. I'm also not terribly a good strategist.

Wait till the guy named Dallas hooks up. He's crazy. He won't lose. Well, if Armin plays, who knows.
02 May 16 UTC Spring, 1907: To Italy and France: please input moves as soon as you can. Even if they are holds, save and let's finish this game.
02 May 16 UTC Spring, 1907: Well... Maybe you remember what i've said in the beginning?!?
05 May 16 UTC Congratulations Turkey. Well-deserved win. I had thought of supporting Marseilles in the end but was clever enough to let the game end. There's no way I would have been able to secure a 1/1 draw.
05 May 16 UTC And Italy, Sweet sorry it was to see you leave at the end. You fought hard, tooth and nail. But you found the wrong person to trust.
05 May 16 UTC Thank you very much, Germany. Was a pleasure to Play with you... Just Looks like the beginning of a new battle far North
Italy was chased from Venice all the way down to Naples =) And the French fleet had a very short Holiday at Tunis...
Looking Forward to Play another game with you all!

And as i predicted in the beginning: "I Will Win!" and I did! =)
05 May 16 UTC Thanks for the game. I'll get you next time Turkey, next time! Muhahahaha!

;-)
06 May 16 UTC I think I 'got' Armin only once. He and I have always been on opposite corners. Russia, good try.
